Recreation of deleted item
[edit]Hello @Saroj! I'm sorry that it https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q123688229 looked like spam, I didn't know that I couldn't self promote. I wanted to correct and add more information in the new iteration, sorry, but I didn't know that I couldn't restore items. @Bovlb told me to write you with explanation, but i forgot the password from the previous account, so i write here. My goal is to add marketers and organizations to the service so that more knowledge about them is available. I decided to start from myself. I want to add well-known marketers. In the second iteration https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q123757765 I filled in the number of subscribers on Twitter (about 5-6 thousand — https://twitter.com/rossoshanski), as well as OrсID https://orcid.org/0009-0007-9572-3349 — which is proof that i'm the author and I am real and have an education. I also thought it would be appropriate to fill in the author whom I considered necessary (me for example), because there is an example of a similar marketer in the knowledge base, which is about the same — https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q109247961. In the new iteration, I filled out the profile following his example. Please, if some points in your completed profile look wrong, please let me know and I will correct them. I hope to unlock the completed item, because I spent a lot of time on research and intends to continue developing this area. And btw I have a knowledge panel https://g.co/kgs/VwAF2W, and do much research in my field. Hope to hear from you. Average Person 2 (talk) 18:23, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Average Person 2, The item was deleted due to concerns of spam/advertising and not meeting the Wikidata notability policy. In the new version, there were no references confirming the importance of the person. If you wish to restore the deleted item, please follow this procedure. Thanks. --Saroj (talk) 07:29, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
Recreation of deleted item
[edit]Hi! May I know why this has been deleted? I just saw it and decided to clean it up: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q7268748
It is a legitimate company so I'm not sure why it's not meeting the notability policy. I would feel very guilty if I saw a random article that I cleaned up due to the flags I saw and it got deleted because of that. And I was just adding the founders to make it more rich. Was that a violation? Apologies for that!
Thank you! Nabiresearcher (talk) 14:58, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- The page was deleted for not meeting Wikidata's notability guidelines. If you believe the company is notable and should have a presence on Wikidata, you can appeal the deletion decision by submitting a "request for undeletion" on the Administrators' noticeboard. Requests for undeletion.
[edit]Hello @Saroj and hope you're doing well. I created Q124325889 last night and tried to add anything it needed and follow the policies, and Bovlb said these Items Q123124297, Q123116207, Q124054830, Q124078367, Q124084973 deleted by Saroj and ymblanter which are related to the entity. And that was because of notability. I don't want to spam and create more pages, and I want to follow the rules and policies. on my last page ( Q124325889 ) I followed the First Notability criteria in this page which says : (It contains at least one valid sitelink to a page on ... Wikimedia Commons). also i read this one , but the only thing i dont have is Press Article. Which is mentioned in a APN press release, but not on any other Press. also have All social Media ( Instagram , Tiktok, Facebook, Linkedin, ...) and some of them have +1-5 K followers. This company has multiple offices accross the world ( Sydney, Dubai, London, Toronto )and their GBP. Crunchbase also available. as i see all notability criteria followed and these deletions are very strict and changeable. So i'm here to request to undelete one of the entity page, Thanks Faridzain491 (talk) 05:50, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

request for undeletion
[edit]Hello, I would like to provide some information about this image to explain why I believe it should be kept on Wikimedia Commons. This photo represents me personally, a real person with a verified identity on official platforms such as Facebook and others. I uploaded the image under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 license, ensuring that I am the author and grant the right to reuse it according to the terms of the license. The image is useful for encyclopedic purposes as it represents the subject of the homonymous entry on Wikidata and Wikipedia, and it is used as the official image for my digital identity. I therefore believe it meets the Wikimedia Commons criteria for relevant and properly licensed personal images, as it serves to clearly identify the entity described in Wikimedia projects. I am available to add further information or links if requested, and to update the photo description to facilitate verification. I therefore request that this image be kept active and not deleted, as I believe it has every right to be part of the archive due to its documentary and identity value. Requesting undeletion of Q136687757
[edit]This wikidata link was up for over a month, and a logged in user added photos from the wiki commons and Eisel flagged it for no reason while adding Award related photos from a Grand Prize Family Feud Win in 2016, required for Google Knowledge Panel for artist E Lion, who has over 40+ songs out and has been doing music for 20 years. The page was up, was requested by many, and is representative of the Schema on ELionMusic.com as I said the page was fine and up for quite a while, and the Google Knowledge Panel was being built so proper account information would pull up as there are several imposters, for the sake of fans and the artist, the page would be better off up, and clear guidelines on photos outlined, one simple photo is enough. Please restore this page and give insight on how to keep it up and safe from people who may not understand notability in America from other countries. ~2025-34565-42 (talk) 19:03, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
Request for reconsideration regarding the deletion of Lane Houk's Wikidata item
[edit]Hello Saroj, I am writing to you today to respectfully request that you reconsider your decision to delete the Wikidata item for Lane Houk and the book notable work item, The SPARK Framework, (which was deleted for the reason: "Does not meet the notability policy" ). I have gathered some additional information and references that I believe demonstrate notability, and I would be grateful if you would take a moment to review them. Of course, if there are any edits to the items that are recommended, those can be made, but I believe the outright deletion due to not meeting the notability policy is not applicable here.
The item refers to a person who is a published author, a multi-time founder of notable companies in the marketing and AI space who also exited Signal Genesys, the SaaS company he founded in 2018. Lane is also the subject of multiple independent media interviews, regularly appears on industry podcasts and contributes monthly as an author to an industry magazing. I believe this meets the notability criterion of being described by "serious and publicly available references."
Here are some sources for your consideration:
1. Published Author: Lane Houk is the author of the book "The SPARK Framework: Blueprint for AI Search Dominance." Official Book Website: https://thesparkframework.com Amazon Listing: https://www.amazon.com/SPARK-Framework-Blueprint-Search-Dominance/dp/B0D1329T1X Earned Amazon Top New Release Award: https://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/news/press-services/lane-houk-s-spark-framework-tm-hits-1480052790.html
2. Founder of Notable Companies & Subject of Media Coverage: Mr. Houk is the founder of several technology companies, including Signal Genesys, which was the subject of multiple news articles and interviews. These sources are not just press releases but also an independent interview and earned media articles discussing his work and impact on the industry.

4. Monthly contributor to Everyday AI Vibe Magazine: https://everydayaivibemagazine.com/contributors/lane-houk/
Given these references—a published book, multiple independent interviews in publications like Authority Magazine, Catalytic Leadership Podcast, and independent recognition by multiple news outlets for his work with Herocare, I believe the item for Lane Houk satisfies Wikidata's notability guidelines. The existence of an item would also serve a structural need by allowing a proper link from the Wikidata item for his book.
Thank you for your time and for your important work as a Wikidata administrator. I hope you will consider restoring this item.
Best regards. Lane-a-houk (talk) 19:22, 8 December 2025 (UTC)

Request for admin intervention
[edit]Hi, I would like to request your review of two deletion requests.
Both requests were submitted by the same user.
My initial check regarding Case 1 shows that the researcher identifiers cited for Q136573807 (person) do not indicate the notability of the subject. The cited Google Scholar and ResearcherID profiles are void of any trusted publications or citations; the ORCID identifier appears to function only as a personal profile of the subject. Moreover, these identifiers were created recently, suggesting that they may have been created primarily to superficially fulfil notability standards. The subject is identified as both a researcher and a musician. I am not familiar with identifiers in the musician field, but I suspect that most of them may be self-created.
Update: After several days, a new “publication” was added to the Google Scholar profile, hosted on arXiv. However, a reading of the text suggests that it is not a peer-reviewed or formally published work, but rather appears to be a student homework or coursework document formatted to resemble a publication.
Case 2 is more peculiar. The requester, who is the same person who created Q136573807 (person) disputed in Case 1, attempted to request the deletion of Kagwe (Q6346716) (geographical item). Their justification for the deletion is:
Kagwe (Q6346716) (geographical item) is obsolete, a delete is necessary cleanup".
This strikes me as a strange argument for a deletion request, as other users in the discussion have already shown various valid identifiers and references supporting the existence of Kagwe (Q6346716) as a geographical item. After further checks outside of Wikidata, I concluded that this request is possibly part of SEO operations.
Another point to note is the pattern in how the discussion is being conducted in both of cases. The requesting user appears to be using multiple accounts: one registered account, alongside several temporary accounts, in a way that creates the impression of multiple independent participants. At least one temporary account is also participating in the voting, which raises concerns about the integrity of the discussion process.
Could you please review this matter and possibly intervene? Many thanks. HA (talk) 01:40, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I've reviewed both deletion requests and looked at the sources and notability of each item. I also checked the discussion patterns and did not count input from temporary accounts coming from the same IP as independent. I made my decisions based on the merits of the items and intervened where needed. Thanks. Saroj (talk) 08:54, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt response. Aside from that, may I suggest you to review report submitted by Dorades (the one submitting bulk deletion request on Kagwe items)? Many thanks. I close this discussion. HA (talk) 10:23, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- == Request review of deletion of Q136573807 ==
- @Dorades, Saroj, HA:
- I’m writing to request review of the deletion of Q136573807.
- The decision appears to have focused primarily on newly created researcher identifiers (Google Scholar, ORCID, etc.), while the entity’s longstanding artist identifiers and existing presence in the Google Knowledge Graph do not seem to have been taken into account.
- Evidence of notability that pre-existed the item:
- The bulk deletion also affected all of the works associated with this entity which also had Knowledge Graph MIDs, and these independent, third-party identifiers together demonstrate clear notability under Wikidata’s notability criteria for creative professionals. The deletion also affected multiple connected works that share the same verified identifiers in the Google Knowledge Graph and external music databases.
- Per the guidance at Wikidata:Requests for undeletion#How to appeal deletions, I am first contacting you directly with clear evidence to request restoration or re-evaluation of the item (and, where appropriate, the associated works). If I do not hear back within seven days, I will escalate this to the Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard as outlined there.
- Disclosure: I am the subject of this item.
- Archer470 (talk) 20:08, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Saroj:
- I’m following up specifically about the claim that there were no independent sources establishing notability.
- I have collected several clearly independent third-party sources that predate or are separate from any of my own uploads, and could have easily been found:
- Article / review: https://www.stereofox.com/j-roosevelt-afterglow-ft-kagwe/
- Radio feature / playlist on WZBC (Boston College): https://spinitron.com/WZBC/pl/56484/Hundo-P
- NetEase Music artist page (China): https://music.163.com/#/artist?id=12541065
- Reference in U.S. university document (NC State): https://goodnight.ncsu.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/41/2023/04/Goodnight-Scholars-Program-Transfer-Class-of-2026-Interview-Finalist.pdf
- These are in addition to the existing identifiers I mentioned earlier (MusicBrainz, Discogs, SoundCloud, Google Knowledge Panel, etc.). Taken together, they show that my work has been covered, played, or catalogued by multiple independent institutions (music press, radio, international platforms, and a university program), which satisfies Wikidata:Notability for a creative professional.
- For clarity: the NetEase presence was not self-uploaded. My music was mirrored there from SoundCloud and gained traction in China, after which I had to verify my identity with the platform. This is part of a broader pattern where my work circulates across platforms regardless of my direct involvement, which is why I’m trying to ensure that Wikidata has accurate, well-sourced information linking everything together.
- Given the above, I don’t think the statement that there are “no independent sources” is accurate anymore. In line with the guidance at Wikidata:Requests for undeletion#How to appeal deletions, I’m asking that the deletion of Q136573807 (and, where appropriate, the closely related works) be reconsidered in light of these independent sources. Archer470 (talk) 22:36, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi,
- I've checked the additional links you provided. None of them show independent, significant coverage from reliable third-party sources. Most are platform profiles, databases, playlist listings, or brief mentions, which document presence but don't establish notability under Wikidata criteria.
- Based on this, I don't see grounds to reverse the deletion. If you disagree, the next step would be to raise the matter at the Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard for wider review.
- Thanks, Saroj (talk) 06:05, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Saroj:
- To summarise my concern before I take this to the Administrators’ noticeboard, I want to make sure I’ve correctly understood the reasoning in the two related cases you closed:
- For Q6346716, you wrote that “the place is verifiable with independent sources”. You did not comment on notability, reliability, or significance beyond the fact that there are independent sources that support its existence.
- For Q136573807, you deleted with the summary: “The item lacks independent notability; research identifiers show no publications, and musician sources are mostly self-published.”
- The research identifiers do have publications, so this was also inaccurate. In addition, several links were provided which are independent and non–self-published:
- Stereofox: a recognised music blog with a full write-up of Afterglow that explicitly talks about Kagwe as a US-based producer collaborating with j. roosevelt, with narrative context about work and style.
- WZBC / Spinitron playlist: a Boston College (WZBC) radio playlist log where Kagwe – Newton’s Cradle and Kagwe – Solo Strolo are played on air on a non-commercial station at a major U.S. university.
- NetEase Music: a major Chinese streaming platform hosting an artist page for Kagwe, which I did not create myself but later had to verify after the tracks spread there from SoundCloud.
- NC State University document: the Goodnight Scholars Program “Transfer Class of 2026 Interview Finalists” PDF listing me by full name as a candidate.
- In your reply, you stated that “none of them show independent, significant coverage from reliable third-party sources” and that they are “platform profiles, databases, playlist listings, or brief mentions”. This is inconsistent with keeping the other item based on verifiability via independent sources, while treating multiple independent references (music press, radio, international platform, and university documentation) as insufficient for Q136573807.
- Because of this, I remain convinced that, taken together with the existing identifiers (MusicBrainz, Discogs, etc.), these sources do meet Wikidata:Notability for a creative professional, particularly as an identifiable real-world person with serious, publicly available references and authority-like identifiers.
- Per the guidance, my next step will be to request a wider review at Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard. I’m leaving this note here so that my understanding of your reasoning, and the evidence I presented, is clearly documented before I do so.
- Archer470 (talk) 10:54, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt response. Aside from that, may I suggest you to review report submitted by Dorades (the one submitting bulk deletion request on Kagwe items)? Many thanks. I close this discussion. HA (talk) 10:23, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Inquiry regarding deletion of Q137612065 and Q137611303
[edit]Hello Saroj,
I am writing to kindly inquire about the deletion of the items for "Rocket Science Baltics" (Q137612065) and "Simonas Naudžius" (Q137611303). I understand they were removed due to "notability not established" and "promotion."
I would appreciate your guidance on how to properly re-establish these entries. Both the company and the individual are established entities in the Baltic digital marketing sector. For the company, I can provide official registration data from the Lithuanian Centre of Registers. For the individual, I can provide links to independent industry associations (like LiMA) and speaking engagements at professional summits. Could you please advise which specific independent sources or identifiers would be sufficient to prove notability according to Wikidata standards?
My goal is to contribute accurate, structured data to the platform.

Question about deleted item Q137791715 (Netsleek)
[edit]Hello Saroj,
I hope you are well.
I noticed that the item Q137791715 (Netsleek) was deleted for not meeting the notability policy. I would like to understand whether an appeal is possible if additional independent, reliable coverage can be provided.
Could you please advise what type of sources would be considered sufficient for recreating the item?
Thank you for your time and guidance. Osisia (talk) 20:09, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello Osisia, yes, an appeal is possible if you can provide new independent and reliable sources that clearly establish notability per Wikidata:Notability; the sources should be independent of Netsleek (not its own website, social media, or press releases), come from reliable publications, and offer more than brief mentions, and if such coverage is available, you can submit an undeletion request following Wikidata:Guide to requests for undeletion. RESTORATION REQUEST Q137918930
[edit]Hello,
I understand and respect the deletion decision based on notability concerns.
I would like to clarify that the deleted item was about me, a real and identifiable person.
The item contained multiple authoritative identifiers, including ORCID, ISNI, VIAF,
IMDb name ID, Amazon Author ID, and academic profiles (Frontiers Loop, SciProfiles),
and only neutral, factual statements were added. No promotional or self-advertising
content was included.
I understand that independent secondary sources may be required.
I am fully willing to improve the item by adding appropriate independent,
third-party references in line with Wikidata’s notability policy.
I kindly request your guidance on whether restoration would be possible,
or advice on how I should proceed correctly before recreating the item.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. MrSIKhan2025 (talk) 16:11, 1 February 2026 (UTC)

Request for undeletion - Greg Brady (Q138000984)
[edit]Hi Saroj. Would you mind undeleting an item I created - Greg Brady (Q138000984)? I believe he is notable enough for inclusion, as several good sources on him exist. Here are three of them:

There is also a second item (Q138001065) that does not have the requisite sourcing on its own. But if the first item were undeleted, the second item would then fulfill a structural need for the first in describing Brady's current company. Thanks in advance! ~2026-85867-6 (talk) 11:27, 8 February 2026 (UTC)

Request regarding deleted items (Q137992515, Q137988550)
[edit]Hello Saroj, I am writing to discuss the deletion of the items Q137988550 (Anish Nellickal) and Q137992515. I understand they were deleted based on notability policy. As an environmental activist and owner of Nellickal Nursery in Kerala, India, my work has been featured in several mainstream media outlets. I would like to provide reliable secondary sources to establish notability. Could you please restore these items or move them to a draft space so I can add the necessary references and citations? Thank you for your time and guidance. Best regards, Anish Nellickal Anish nellickal (talk) 17:48, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- At this time, the items cannot be restored, and draftspace is not supported on Wikidata. If you can provide reliable, independent sources that clearly establish notability, you may request undeletion. Saroj (talk) 17:33, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
Jacob Anders is a notable person please restore it
[edit]I oppose the deletion of this item. Jacob Anders is a former candiate for United States Congress, professional historian and voice actor with a 15-year career in the Tennessee Valley. He is the creator of the 'Pokemon Abridged' series (a culturally significant web-media work) and has an upcoming autobiography with an assigned ISBN. This item is supported by established external identifiers including IMDb (nm10560570) and LinkedIn. I am currently in the process of adding secondary independent references from historical archives and media catalogs to further satisfy WD:N. JacobAnders (talk) 12:54, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
Spam Deletion
[edit]Can you please help me understand why this entry was deleted as Spam? Q138077060 ~2026-97059-8 (talk) 16:39, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
- It was deleted because the item was promotional and did not include reliable, independent sources showing notability. Most links were to the company's own website or profiles, which are not sufficient for Wikidata. Saroj (talk) 17:41, 12 February 2026 (UTC)
Undeletion request for Q138205891 (Superside)
[edit]Hi Saroj,
I'd like to request undeletion of Q138205891 (Superside).

Independent coverage:

• Y Combinator W16 batch • $71M+ total funding from Prosus Ventures, Slack Fund, Sam Altman • 700+ employees globally • Won Remote Excellence Award The entry was basic structured data, not promotional content. Happy to add more references if needed.

Reinstating Deleted Topics [Q138316090] [Q138316010]
[edit]Hi Saroj. I noticed you deleted two items I created:
Unicycive Therapeutics Q138316010 and Dr. Shalabh Gupta Q138316090, the founder and CEO of Unicycive.
I understand that there weren't enough identifying details on the pages. I still had some work to do for both entries. Would it be possible for you to reinstate the pages so I can add the information that should qualify these entries for notability? I believe that both Unicycive and Dr. Shalabh Gupta are notable enough for an entry, and especially as they support each other - Unicycive to populate Dr. Gupta's work experience and vice versa.
Please see six sources below:
https://www.clinicalleader.com/doc/proximity-to-patients-helps-unicycive-reduce-pill-burden-0001

- Hi Saroj. In case you missed this, would you mind undeleting the above two items? I see now that a few of the sources I cited in my last post are not the most reliable, but the following two stronger sources should be enough to establish notability:
- https://www.hcplive.com/view/fda-accepts-oxylanthanum-carbonate-nda-resubmission-for-hyperphosphatemia-in-ckd-dialysis.
- Thanks! ~2026-10433-76 (talk) 11:53, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the sources. After reviewing them, I don't think they establish strong independent coverage, so I'm not able to reinstate the items at this time. Saroj (talk) 14:29, 28 February 2026 (UTC)

RFU: Jennifer DeRosa (Q138568462) (Jennifer DeRosa)
[edit]This item was deleted together with the organization item Q138568358 (Toto Coaching, LLC). However, the person appears to meet the Wikidata notability guideline.
This item satisfies N2 because the subject has recognized authority control identifiers:
- VIAF: https://viaf.org/viaf/22171591062803230172
- Library of Congress Name Authority File: https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/no2024043043.html
Jennifer DeRosa is also the author of the Wiley-published book Building DIY Websites For Dummies.
Because the subject has authority file identifiers and a published work from a major publisher, the item appears to meet the Wikidata notability guideline.

Undeletion request — Q139405160 (Craig Pretzinger)
[edit]Hi Saroj,
You deleted Q139405160 (Craig Pretzinger) on 2026-04-18 for not meeting notability. I'd like to request undeletion under WD:N point 3 (structural need).
The subject is a co-host of Q139378233 (The Insurance Dudes), an accepted podcast item with 792 episodes, inception 2019, Apple Podcasts ID 1451888095. Q139378233 needs Q139405160 as the value of P161 cast member — without the human Q-item, the podcast item can't record who hosts it.
The deleted item had 25 statements with references (primarily https://blog.theidudes.com/about + Apple Podcasts). Immediately upon restoration I will add the P161 cast member → Q139405160 statement on Q139378233 (with qualifier P3831 = Q2722764 host, and reference) to make the structural need explicit.
I'm in the field this week with unreliable connectivity and may not see the restore notification for hours. If you're willing, adding the P161 cast member = Q139405160 statement (qualifier P3831 = Q2722764, reference: Apple Podcasts URL https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-insurance-dudes/id1451888095, retrieved 2026-04-19) on Q139378233 in the same session as the undeletion would resolve the structural-need question immediately and save a round-trip. I understand if that's out of scope; if so I'll make the edit myself as soon as I'm back online. Thank you.
Insurance dudes (talk) 05:31, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, you appear to be the subject of this request, which is a conflict of interest. The structural need argument only works if the podcast itself is notable, and it isn't. The sources are your own blog and auto-aggregated podcast directories, none of which constitute independent coverage. A non-notable podcast cannot establish notability for its hosts. Undeletion declined. Q139378233 is also nominated for deletion on the same grounds. Saroj (talk) 16:10, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
Hello Saroj, I requested the deletion of Lian Hua Dermatology Clinic (Q139495005) (RFD link), due to the empty condition of the item. I was informed later by its creator @Linhuaclinic that they added the reference sometimes later, as indicated in their response in RFD. I checked the reference and indeed it is journalistic works related to health, and the clinic mentioned seriously within it. Kindly help restore the item, since it was suggested to contact the deleting admin first. I apologize for this mistake. Thank you. Yamato Shiya大和 士也 (Talk • Contribs) 13:02, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

- Also, I was a little unsure what happened so i was half-way to re-create the entity again. I cannot find a way to delete it so maybe this could be done by you? https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q139497409

About Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced
[edit]Hi, Q138589086 is part of a well know video game serie and it was confirmed few week ago, this is a remake that English Wikipedia also mention. Contesting Deletion (Q139496251): Verification of Corporate Notability and Identifiers
[edit]Hello. Thank you for reviewing this item Q139496251. I am contesting the deletion because Getron meets Wikidata notability requirements as a structurally verified global entity. It is an established B2B software provider with registered corporate entities in the US, Germany, and Turkey. It is tracked by major business intelligence databases including Crunchbase and G2, and its software solutions are utilized by enterprise clients globally. I am currently in the process of adding its corporate registry IDs (OpenCorporates/VAT) and independent press citations to the item to further verify its structural significance. Please allow a few days for these identifiers to be fully populated. TimurZehr (talk) 15:10, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protection request for SonalBot userpage
[edit]Hi @Saroj,
I would like to request semi-protection for my bot’s userpage User:SonalBot.
Reason: SonalBot is an approved bot with a bot flag, and it welcomes new users automatically. Vandals editing the bot’s userpage can confuse new users who visit it after being welcomed. Semi-protection will prevent disruption and ensure stability, while still allowing trusted editors to make improvements if needed.

Vraag over verwijdering Q138880789
Estrelle2026 (talk) 18:00, 26 July 2026 (UTC)
Question about Q140658436 deletion
[edit]Hi Saroj,
I'm the disclosed paid editor (see my user page) who created Q140658436 (UnderDefense, a cybersecurity company) on July 22. I saw it was deleted on July 25 for not meeting the notability policy.
Could you clarify what specifically was missing? The item had sourced statements citing the company's LinkedIn page, Crunchbase profile, and CBInsights listing for inception, headquarters, and external IDs.
I want to understand whether these sources are considered insufficiently independent, or if there's a different threshold I should be aware of before considering whether to address this. Thank you for your time. ~2026-40930-68 (talk) 07:08, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hi. The item was deleted because it did not appear to meet the notability requirements. The LinkedIn page, Crunchbase profile, and CB Insights listing are not sufficient to establish notability, as they are not independent sources providing significant coverage of the company. Question about deletion of Q140676761
[edit]Hello Saroj,
I created Q140676761 and found the bulk deletion request. The stated reason was only “WD:N” and the item was listed as having no description.
Could you please clarify which Wikidata notability criterion was not met? I would also like to know whether restoration would be possible if I provide sufficient independent and reliable sources.
Thank you. NKam592 (talk) 08:44, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hi. The item was deleted because it did not appear to meet the notability requirements. The issue was the lack of sufficient independent, reliable sources demonstrating notability. Yes, if sufficient independent, reliable sources are provided, a restoration request can be considered. Saroj (talk) 05:26, 28 July 2026 (UTC)

[edit]I saw you deleted Q131631420 that I created. I have no idea what the content of it was. Can you please let me know.

- Hi. The item was for Manga JAM Session, an Austrian manga publisher. It was deleted because it did not appear to meet Wikidata's notability requirements, as it was supported only by the official website, social media accounts, and identifiers, without independent, reliable sources demonstrating notability. Saroj (talk) 05:21, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answer. Is there a more detailed version of Wikidata:Notability for information about Wikidata's notability requirements? --D-Kuru (talk) 13:29, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
- I requested the item to be undeleted here. FYI if you want to add a comment. --D-Kuru (talk) 13:07, 31 July 2026 (UTC)

Question about deletion of Q139362977
[edit]Hi Saroj, I created Q139362977 and found out today that the item was completely deleted without any discussion or prior notice. I would like to understand the reason for this, as I published several books and contributed measurably to political science concerning Russian democratization in the 1990ies (still getting requests of students, using my book for their study). All those works have been verified by official IDs (GND, ORCID etc.).
Could you please clarify which Wikidata notability criterions were not met – and why it was not sufficient to delete my GEO articles instead, if they were regarded to be self-promotional? I would also like to know whether restoration would be possible if I provide more sufficient independent and reliable sources or restrict the scope of cited works to other topics than GEO.
However, since I had painstakingly entered a large amount of structured data and sources, I would like to save this data at least for my own website (as Schema.org markup). Could you or an administrator please email me the deleted JSON code for these two items or make it available to me here? Thank you very much in advance.

Question about deleted Rainbow Dynamics profiles
[edit]Hi Saroj,
I noticed that the Rainbow Dynamics company profile and five leadership profiles I created were recently deleted as “Spam / advertising.”
These were intended to document the company and its leadership team with factual, verified information, not to promote the business. I added information such as leadership roles, employment history, external identifiers, and references from sources such as Crunchbase, PitchBook, LinkedIn, and company records.
I understand that Wikidata has guidelines against promotional content, and I want to make sure I follow them correctly. Could you please let me know what specifically made the profiles appear promotional and what information or sources would be acceptable?
The deleted items were:
Q140995690 Q140996076 Q141014785 Q141014987 Q141031197 Q141032616
I have already spent considerable time working with the team to verify the information and prepare these profiles accurately. I would really appreciate your guidance before I recreate anything, so I can make sure everything complies with Wikidata's policies.
Thank you. Vanita Rainbor Dynamics (talk) 03:56, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Vanita, the sources provided (Crunchbase, PitchBook, LinkedIn, and company records) are not sufficiently independent. Please provide independent, reliable sources such as reputable news or industry publications with significant coverage of the company or individuals. Thanks. Saroj (talk) 04:57, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for clarifying. Could you please restore my edit access so I can update the profiles with independent, reliable references according to your guidelines? - Hi Saroj,
- Thank you for pointing me to the Guide to requests for undeletion. I have reviewed the requirement and have now collected additional external sources for the deleted company and individual items.
- I understand that company records, LinkedIn, Crunchbase and PitchBook are not sufficient as independent references, so I have focused on external industry publications and news sources.

- These sources cover Rainbow Dynamics' Japanese expansion and Sumio Tanaka's role in the Japan operation.
- Eddie Huang — Q141014785
- I have found external coverage mentioning Eddie Huang in connection with Rainbow Dynamics, including:
- Cyber Defense Wire:
- I understand that this particular article identifies itself as a press release, so I am not relying on it alone as independent evidence. I am continuing to look for additional independent coverage specifically about Eddie Huang.
- Jaap Vos — Q141031197
- Cyber Defense Wire mentions Jaap Vos as a founder and provides information about his previous SSI Schäfer and Kardex experience:
- Again, I understand that this is identified as a company press release, so I am looking for additional independent sources specifically covering Jaap Vos.
- I have tried to keep the proposed statements limited to information that is actually supported by the respective sources rather than adding promotional claims.
- Could you please review these sources and let me know which of them you consider acceptable as independent references for the undeletion request? If some sources are still not sufficient, I would really appreciate your guidance on what type of independent coverage would meet the requirement.
- I am happy to correct the profiles and use only the sources you consider appropriate.

- Thanks. The independent coverage for Rainbow Dynamics is helpful, but the individual items need independent sources with meaningful coverage of the individuals themselves. Please submit the undeletion requests at Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard with the relevant sources for each item, where they can be reviewed by other administrators. - Hi Saroj, thank you for the guidance. I have already submitted the undeletion request with the relevant independent sources at the Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard and provided all the requested details for the individuals.
- However, I haven’t received a response from any of the administrators yet, and the request has been pending for quite some time. Could you please help me review the request or advise me on whether there is anything else I should provide to move it forward?
- I’d really appreciate your help, as I have tried to follow the process and provide all the available supporting sources. Thank you! Vanita Rainbow Dynamics (talk) 04:11, 24 August 2026 (UTC)

Q141051249 (Parrot Software) — two sources not in the discussion
[edit]Hello Saroj,
You closed the deletion discussion for Q141051249 (Parrot Software) on 15 August. Disclosure: I am the founder of Parrot Software and I created the item. I'm not asking you to revisit the arguments already made — I'd just like to put two sources in front of you that weren't in the discussion, and leave the judgement with you.
In the discussion I cited Des Roches & Kiran (2017), which names the software among tools reviewed. Since then I've located two peer-reviewed journal articles in which the software is the intervention under study:
Corwin, M., Wells, M., Koul, R., & Dembowski, J. "Computer-Assisted Anomia Treatment for Persons with Chronic Aphasia: Generalization to Untrained Words." Journal of Medical Speech-Language Pathology 2014; 21(2): 149–163. Six participants with chronic aphasia, 32-hour protocol. The authors state: "The authors purchased the software programs used in this study and have no financial agreements with Parrot Software." Li, K., Robertson, J., Ramos, J., & Gella, S. "Computer-Based Cognitive Retraining for Adults with Chronic Acquired Brain Injury: A Pilot Study." Occupational Therapy In Health Care 2013; 27(4): 333–344. doi:10.3109/07380577.2013.844877. Twelve adults with chronic acquired brain injury. Both full texts are public at https://www.parrotsoftware.com/research
If you think being the subject of two independent peer-reviewed studies meets WD:N criterion 2, I'd be grateful if you'd consider restoring the item. If not, that's a fair call and I'll leave it there — I'd just appreciate knowing, so I don't take up anyone else's time with it.
Thank you for your work on this. ~~~~ Aphasia-treatment (talk) 12:58, 15 August 2026 (UTC)
Q140843729 (Otro Mundo)
[edit]Hi Saroj, how are you? My name is Cintia Trobbiani. I wanted to ask about the deletion of Q140843729 (Otro Mundo), which you closed today following the RfD nomination by Lymantria ("Does not meet the notability policy").
The item had no Wikipedia sitelink at the time, so I understand why you took this action, but I wanted to flag that it carried a reference to a dedicated article about the subject published by La Nación (one of Argentina's largest national newspapers), which discusses the founding and activities of the organization directly, not as a passing mention: https://www.lanacion.com.ar/economia/otro-mundo-el-semillero-de-talentos-que-creo-cris-morena-busca-cruzar-fronteras-nid12082022/
The subject is also referenced, with independent sourcing, in three existing Wikipedia articles: es:Cris Morena, es:Margarita (serie de televisión), and es:Lola Abraldes.
For transparency, I edit this topic under a declared paid-editing disclosure at User:CTrobbiani. Take in account that this is an arts academy for children and young artists that is seeking to be more visible for the community and also interact with other art institutions and artists all over the world. I am currently helping them to achieve this, I will eventually work on the creation of their article in Wikipedia but my account is still not verified to do so I m starting with the basics, if you have any advise for me in this matter it will be very much appreciated.
Would you be ab le to reconsider in light of this source, or would you recommend I take this to WD:AN instead? Thanks for your time and have a wonderful day. CTrobbiani (talk) 23:45, 26 August 2026 (UTC)
You didn't delete two of them. Was that intentional? NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 20:33, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
- My bad, I missed those two. Thanks for pointing it out. I've deleted them now. Saroj (talk) 01:22, 7 September 2026 (UTC)
Request to restore Q141468969 Twitch Aphane
[edit]Hello Saroj, thank you for review.
Please restore Q141468969 Twitch Aphane - I am a real South African amapiano artist, not just promotion.
Evidence of notability: - Spotify Verified Artist: 2GOmvtJ4EMdy283SfuiZod (Twitch Aphane) - MusicBrainz artist page (linked) - Google Knowledge Panel exists for Twitch Aphane - IMDb artist profile - Official label T N T Records - Apple Music / YouTube Music distribution
I will add reliable sources and not use for promotion. Can you restore or allow me to improve? Thank you. Twitch Aphane (talk) 19:08, 16 September 2026 (UTC)
Question about 27 September deletion batch and talk-page histories
[edit]Hello Saroj. ANTORLGOY directed this question here from User talk:Drkotir. The 27 September 2026 deletion log records 68 items and two talk pages removed at 08:57 UTC under a shared WD:N summary. This account is directly affiliated with Koti Reddy Saripalli, BHCL and Pinnacle Blooms; that conflict of interest is disclosed. This is a request for the policy reasoning and an item-specific review route, not blanket undeletion or permission to recreate anything.
The batch mixed 52 centre records with BHCL (Q141494911), seven research-work records (for example Q141540500), books and products. HFR registration, a DOI, repository hosting or organisational assertions alone do not prove WD:N. Could you please clarify:
- Were these different categories evaluated separately? For a representative centre, a research work and BHCL, which serious-public-reference or structural-need requirement was found unmet?
- Eight existing Commons research figures have structured P6243 links to four now-deleted work items. Was that cross-project use considered for any work item, and what is the appropriate item-review or metadata-repair route?
- Why were Talk:Q58099707 and Talk:Q134462942 deleted although both parent items remain? Those histories contained COI and source-review discussions. Would you consider restoring the histories for transparency, or explain why they cannot be retained?
- If an independently sourced case is assembled for one specific item, should it be brought here or to Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard?
The merged duplicate/redirect Q141494904 is not being requested as a separate record. Thank you for identifying the specific issues so they can be addressed without repetitive or bulk edits. Drkotir (talk) 13:00, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hello Drkotir. I have undeleted the two talk pages, so their histories are now available for review. The other questions about the deletion batch and item-specific review can be addressed separately. Saroj (talk) 15:44, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for restoring the two discussion histories. Following your suggestion, I have now raised separate, evidence-specific questions for Q141494920 (the RCI preprint and its live Commons links) and Q141494911 (BHCL and the cited external records). Those are test cases, not a resolution of the deletion batch.
- The batch contains 67 distinct deleted items after excluding the already-merged duplicate Q141494904: 52 centre records, seven research works, five organisation/product/tool records, one handbook edition, and two IDs whose former types need checking (Q141495017/018). I can address genuine differences item by item, but 65 further near-identical topics would be a poor review process for one bulk decision. Please identify a workable grouped review venue, or review these groups here, and state for each group the concrete WD:N concern and a representative ID. Were the four work items linked from eight live Commons figure records assessed for N2 and N3? For the centre group, what serious public reference or structural use beyond an HFR premises record would be required? Can you identify the former labels/types of Q141495017/018 so they can be assessed accurately?
- I request restoration from the existing histories of any item that meets N2 or N3, with unsupported claims removed where necessary. I am not asking for the merged duplicate or for eligibility by association. If a representative item qualifies, can similarly evidenced items be reviewed together against the same stated standard? I can provide a compact category-and-source table at the venue you indicate. My affiliation is disclosed above. Drkotir (talk) 05:09, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
Q141494920: item-specific WD:N reasoning and Commons links
[edit]Following your reply, this is one separate, item-specific question about deleted Q141494920.
The work is Geographic Concentration of RCI-Listed Rehabilitation Training Institutions in India: A Reproducible National Register Analysis. Zenodo records DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22761810, publication on 15 September 2026, and type preprint. Crossref/Research Square records the same-titled preprint as posted content, not a second study. The live Commons files institution counts and Lorenz curve still have structured P6243 links to this deleted item. The deletion log gives the shared batch WD:N reason.
Could you give the item-specific basis: was criterion 2 assessed against these public records, and do the existing Commons structured links create a criterion 3 structural need or not? Was this work examined individually beyond its creation by an affiliated account? If it cannot be restored, what precisely is missing, and what is the right way to repair the Commons links? This does not assert peer review, RCI endorsement, or an entitlement to restore the wider batch. Drkotir (talk) 04:43, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
Q141494911 (BHCL): item-specific WD:N review
[edit]Following your invitation to raise item-specific questions, this concerns deleted Q141494911, the legal company Bharath Healthcare Laboratories Private Limited. The Drkotir account is affiliated with BHCL and Pinnacle Blooms; that conflict of interest is disclosed.
GLEIF records the company under LEI 894500OJYBVC18BUDN89: https://api.gleif.org/api/v1/lei-records/894500OJYBVC18BUDN89 . VCCircle identifies BHCL in its Pinnacle Blooms report and discusses funding talks, not a completed funding round: https://www.vccircle.com/hyderabadbased-pinnacle-blooms-in-talks-with-pe-players-for-series-a . The Pinnacle Blooms Network item Q134462942 remains live. The deletion log for Q141494911 gives the shared batch WD:N reason: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:Log?logid=672594881 .
Was Q141494911 assessed under WD:N criterion 2 against these entity-specific public sources? If so, which requirement is not met? Is a properly sourced operator relationship to the surviving network item relevant to criterion 3, or not? If additional independent coverage is needed, what precisely would make a narrowly sourced legal-company item eligible for reconsideration? If you find that this item meets the policy, please restore the existing record rather than requiring recreation. This request makes no claim of clinical endorsement, completed funding, or eligibility of the other deleted items. Drkotir (talk) 05:02, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Perhaps it would be better to take this to WD:AN for review by another administrator. Saroj (talk) 05:18, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
Undeletion request: Q140645425 (Digitim)
[edit]Hello Saroj,
My name is Sabrina Bulteau. I am co-founder of PingPrime, a consultancy specialized in GEO paid by Digitim; this is disclosed on my user page.
On 25 July 2026 you deleted Q140645425 (Digitim) as a recreation of an earlier deleted item. Both items were created by User:Bouvard Digitim, a Digitim employee who was new to Wikidata. He created a first item on 20–21 July, asked for more time on his mentor's talk page instead of in the deletion discussion, and then recreated the item instead of contacting the deleting admin. He also posted promotional text on a talk page. These were mistakes, and I apologise on Digitim's behalf. From now on I am the only person handling Digitim on Wikidata, and User:Bouvard Digitim will not edit these items.
Could you tell me why the first item was deleted, so that I can address those reasons?
The earlier versions relied on the business register only. The item can now be referenced to independent press coverage spanning several years:
- Distributique, 30 January 2026: https://www.distributique.com/actualites/lire-digiworks-l-alternative-itsm-francaise-36933.html
- Distributique, three earlier articles (first financial year,
organisation, business model), linked from the page above
- CFNEWS, 26 November 2025, acquisition of Itio: https://www.cfnews.net/L-actualite/Retournement/Operations/M-A/Digitim-s-offre-un-concurrent-a-la-barre-549829
- FrenchWeb, funding round: https://www.frenchweb.fr/digitim-leve-15-million-deuros-pour-gerer-les-smartphones-et-les-tablettes-des-entreprises/359380
- ChannelBiz, 17 March 2017: https://www.channelbiz.fr/2017/03/17/digitim-direction-commerciale-operationnelle/
- French business register, SIREN 814905675: https://annuaire-entreprises.data.gouv.fr/entreprise/814905675
Digitim is a French IT and telecom managed services company (SAS, founded 19 November 2015, headquartered in Nanterre). I believe these sources meet WD:N criterion 2.
Nobody will recreate the item without your agreement. If you agree to restore Q140645425, every statement will be referenced to these sources, the description will stay neutral ("French IT and telecom managed services group"), and no promotional content will be added. If you think it should not be restored, I would be grateful to know what would be required.
Thank you for your time, BR Sabrina Sabrina Bulteau (PingPrime) (talk) 13:54, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Saroj, Since I haven't heard back, I have posted this request on the Administrators' noticeboard: Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard#Undeletion request: Q140645425 (Digitim). Thank you! Sabrina Bulteau (PingPrime) (talk) 07:49, 7 October 2026 (UTC)
Undeletion request: Mass-deleted items created by User:Bestiageo
[edit]Hello Saroj,
I am writing to request the undeletion of items that were mass-deleted on 19 September 2026 under the reason "Mass deletion of pages added by Bestiageo" (Nuke tool). I am the operator of the Bestiageo account.
I want to address the situation transparently:
Conflict of interest disclosure: I declared my COI on my user page from the start, in compliance with Wikimedia's Terms of Use (section 4). I work as an SEO consultant and was creating items for clients.
What went wrong: The items I created were missing descriptions. This was a genuine mistake due to my inexperience with Wikidata's standards at the time. I was not aware that items without descriptions are considered incomplete and subject to speedy deletion.
What I commit to: If the items are restored, I will immediately add proper descriptions, at least one verifiable third-party identifier (such as official registry numbers, LEI codes, or Google Knowledge Graph IDs), and reliable external references for each item, before creating any new items.
Procedural concern: No message was left on my talk page (User talk:Bestiageo) before the deletion, which did not give me an opportunity to improve the items.
I understand the community's concern about COI editing, and I am fully committed to following Wikidata's notability policy going forward. I kindly ask for the restoration of those items so I can bring them up to standard.
Thank you for your consideration. Bestiageo (talk) 22:04, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
Question about deletion of Q141659521 (Trmeric)
[edit]Hello Saroj,
I created the item Q141659521 for Trmeric, a software company, and saw that you deleted it on 7 October for not meeting the notability policy. I'd like to understand what was missing so I can address it properly.
For transparency, I am associated with the company but all the information provided are correct and factual.
The sources I used were the company website, Crunchbase, a press release on PRNewswire, an AWS Marketplace listing. I understand that several of these are company-generated or directory sources and may not show notability.
Could you tell me whether independent coverage (for example, news articles or third-party analysis) would be enough to recreate the item? I'd rather wait and add proper sources than recreate it without them.
Thank you for your time. SivaSurat (talk) 02:38, 8 October 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, if the company has strong independent coverage, you can list the sources and request undeletion at WD:AN. Please do not recreate the item in the meantime. Saroj (talk) 05:14, 8 October 2026 (UTC)
Request to reconsider deletion of Q141659942
[edit]Hello, Saroj! I work at Ponti Digital, as disclosed on my user page. You deleted the item Q141659942 (Ponti Digital) yesterday following a request for deletion for not meeting the notability policy. I would kindly ask you to reconsider, as I believe the item meets Wikidata Notability criterion 2. It is a clearly identifiable entity described by serious and publicly available sources independent of the company. Here are some relevant links that support this claim:

Inquiry regarding the deletion of Q141532553
[edit]Hello Sarojs,
I noticed that you recently deleted the item Q141532553 under the reason "Self-promotion of an unknown singer". I would like to respectfully clarify that there has been a factual misunderstanding regarding this subject.
The subject, Sameh El Koumy, is NOT a singer at all; he is a well-known Egyptian lyricist and songwriter who possesses clear and verifiable notability. He is an officially registered member of the Egyptian Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers (SACER) and the international collective society (SACEM) in France. He has written highly successful songs for major Middle Eastern stars such as Ahmed Sheba, Tarek El Sheikh, and Bahaa Sultan.
His identity and professional background are fully documented in independent, authoritative databases and national media:
- Official Arab Filmography Database (elCinema): https://elcinema.com/person/2192953/
- National Press Coverage (Youm7 Newspaper): https://www.youm7.com/story/2024/2/18/6482746
- National Press Coverage (Elwatan News): https://www.elwatannews.com/news/details/6078613
Given that the deletion was based on an incorrect description of his profession and status, could you please kindly review the sources above and consider undeleting the item?
Thank you for your time and understanding. Smarhelmy (talk) 23:46, 10 October 2026 (UTC)
