Wikidata:Users with Extended Rights conversations 2026
Users with extended rights are at the center of keeping Wikidata running smoothly and healthy. The development team wants to better understand the current issues users with extended rights are facing and how we can better support them. For this we are setting up calls for small groups to dive into your workflows, challenges, motivations and how we can help. At the start our researchers will walk you through some preliminary work we have done to map out workflows and get your input on it.
If you are an admin, bureaucrat or similar on Wikidata, we'd love to have you join one of the sessions.
What to expect
[edit]- Format: Discussion round in a video call, no recording will be published
- Length: 2h with break
- Language: English (If there is high demand for other languages, we will look into how to handle that)
- Preparation needed: None — just show up and talk about your experience
- After the sessions: We will publish an anonymized preliminary summary of insights that came out of the sessions and ask for input from those who could not make it
