Motivation

WikiProject Authority control has more than 50 participants and couldn't be pinged. Please post on the WikiProject's talk page instead. NSK authority file migrated from Aleph to Alma in November 2025 and this implied a change of ID; more specifically the old 9-digit ID was moved from field 001 to field 035 and the new 18-digit ID replaced the old one as 001, so now the URLs to reach the authority file are constructed with the new ID; the old ID is still used to construct the URLs inside VIAF, but also there it will be soon replaced by the old ID. I requested a list of all the equivalences to NSK on December 9 (the same day I wrote in Property talk:P1375#New Alma IDs); NSK kindly provided them to me today, so I am ready to add the new ID to the 51497 items (list) containing the old one (NSK (VIAF) ID (P1375)) as soon as the property is created. --Epìdosis 20:23, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

- @Jneubert, Kolja21, Mcampany, Bargioni, Back ache: Thanks @ZI Jony:; between yesterday and today I have added 51646 new IDs with reference inferred from (P3452)inferred from the conversion of an older format of the ID (Q138818708) (https://w.wiki/KWcp) as a result of the conversion of the old IDs. We still have 177 old IDs which do not have a corresponding new ID and seem absent in the current NSK (https://w.wiki/KWcs); I will ask clarifications about them. --Epìdosis 07:55, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
- I have rechecked all the strange things manually and I have found two types of issue (fortunately relatively few numerically). Firstly, in some cases the same old ID was present in many new IDs, one correct and all the others wrong; these are the cases I manually fixed:

- 000592278, 000593231 are considered the old ID of nine new IDs, one correct and eight not
- 000593058 is considered the old ID of eight new IDs, one correct and seven not

- 000549699, 000549624, 000551179 are considered the old ID of four new IDs, one correct and three not
- 000589866, 000575434, 000579188, 000586104, 000562144 are considered the old ID of three new IDs, one correct and two not
