Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

  • Introduction – An introduction to the project.
  • Wikidata tours – Interactive tutorials to show you how Wikidata works.
  • Community portal – The portal for community members.
  • User options – including the 'Babel' extension, to set your language preferences.
  • Contents – The main help page for editing and using the site.
  • Project chat – Discussions about the project.
  • Tools – A collection of user-developed tools to allow for easier completion of some tasks.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on Project chat. If you want to try out editing, you can use the sandbox to try. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and become an active editor for Wikidata.

Best regards! --Epìdosis 07:27, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

An offering for our new administrator from your comrades... (our gift is better than the one at Commons or Meta)

Here's your badge: {{User admin}}/{{#babel:admin}} and {{Admin topicon}}. Enjoy!

Congratulations! You now have the rights of administrator on Wikidata. Please take a moment to read the Wikidata:Administrators page and watchlist related pages (in particular Wikidata:Project chat, Wikidata:Requests for comment, and Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard), before launching yourself into page deletions, page protections, account blockings, or modifications of protected pages.

Please feel free to join us on IRC: #wikidata-adminconnect. If you need access, you can flag someone down at #wikidataconnect. You may find Wikidata:Guide to Adminship to be useful reading. You may also want to consider adding yourself to meta:Template:Wikidata/Ambassadors, and to any similar page on your home wiki if one exists. (Check Wikipedia:Wikidata/Wikidatans (Q14964498).)

Please also add/update the languages you speak to your listing at Wikidata:List of administrators and Wikidata:Administrators/Timeline. You may also like to add your username to this list if you would not like that items you delete at RfD get marked as deleted automatically. Again, welcome to the admin corps!

Translation administrators

[edit]

Hi, I believe you are doing well. I noticed that you have asked several times translation administrators assistance on the noticeboard, I would suggest you to add translation administrator user rights on your account, instead of asking every time. You could grant it yourself by clicking Special:UserRights/Yamato_Shiya. Afterwards, you would be able to perform all necessary action itself. Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 07:18, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello!
Ah, thank you for your information, but I saw translation admin work is more "technical", which I currently still learning bit by bit, so for the time being, I will entrust the deletion of vandalized translation pages to more experienced admins, hence the requests. Reliable Indonesian News Sites

[edit]

I recently nominated an item for deletion that you were going to keep based on coverage in ANTARA and Kompas. Any other Indonesian news sites I should watch out for that may confer notability? I'll try to be more careful next time. -- IntensionalLogician (talk) 14:05, 12 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thank you for your question: the usual news outlet are ANTARA (its a national press), Kompas, Detik, CNN, and there are others but the one I mentioned is usually the one prioritized in Indonesian Wiki. Other stuffs probably articles that comes from sites with academic domain (ac.id), but that would need more verification.
For the Algonova items, I initially thought that it is indeed notable, since the existence of ANTARA and Kompas, etc. But when I read the news, I got a sense that the news were made as advertorial: covering student registration, facilities, etc. If the school were private, offline school, such coverage is sufficient, given that they have official national registration, but I found out that this item talked about a private virtual school, they dont have any official record, so I found the record deficient to establish notability. Category:Wikidata:Deletion

[edit]

Thanks for emptying the section 'Pages in category "Wikidata:Deletion"' by deleting the listed pages.

Can you also delete the page in section Subcategories? GF2609 (talk) 08:25, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I apologize for missing out your message. I saw other already delete the pages you asked. For the latest request on peerage errors category page, I think its not fit to delete them due to its function as redirect for a usable page, incoming links came from archived WD:AN requests. So the page function as a redirect from the archive to the current usable page. For now I will rollback your edit. Thank you. Yamato Shiya • (Hello!) 04:32, 5 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
