Import on the basis of ISNI

WikiProject Authority control has more than 50 participants and couldn't be pinged. Please post on the WikiProject's talk page instead. using data provided by ICCU, I am importing 40457 SBN IDs (https://qs-dev.toolforge.org/batch/26631/ + https://qs-dev.toolforge.org/batch/26633/) on the basis of an ISNI match (i.e. the import SBN contains the same ISNI present in the Wikidata item; I have also added the ISNI as part of the reference). There will probably be issues, since the ISNI IDs present in SBN often depend on VIAF clusterization, which is often faulty, especially in the case of names with multiple homonyms. @Epìdosis: how many humans are in SBN that have an ISNI in SBN but where the SBN ID is not yet in WD P396? Could these be imported as new items to WD? I think NKC exported all NKC humans that have an ISNI to WD. With GND the process is not yet finished. If each VIAF source would have their human data having ISNI exported to WD, it would speed up the matching and cleaning. Otherwise wrong values from catalog X having wrong ISNI may end up at wrong item again, and the item and the items conflated via X need to be reviewed again. As of now any massive import from SBN is impossible because SBN, differently from GND and NKC, does not declare CC0 license for its data; we are arguing that CC0 would be a good choice for many reasons, among which the possibility of massive imports towards Wikidata, but we are not yet there unfortunately. All these were cases in which IRIS UNINA author ID (P9843) had been wrongly added through MnM by @Ikan:; the only correct IRIS, Fabrizio Bernardi (Q1337189): Italian astronomer (born 1972), I have now added SBN. Epìdosis 09:49, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

There are several more having in the description football, cyclist, volleyball ... can you verify more in that list and create SBN if missing but IRIS correct? List checked, the great majority has no bibliographic records in SBN and consequently no authority record can be created for them; I remove the list to make the page lighter and because it is mostly useless as of now. --Epìdosis 17:22, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
