OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: gravity_spheres_volume/dim_512/ao/real_time. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: gravity_spheres_volume/dim_512/pathtracer/real_time. openSUSE Tumbleweed was the fastest.
OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: particle_volume/ao/real_time. CachyOS was the fastest.
OSPRay benchmark with settings of Benchmark: particle_volume/scivis/real_time. CachyOS was the fastest.

In the OSPRay benchmarks, all of the other Linux distributions were slightly faster than the Ubuntu releases still using the Linux 7.0 kernel by default. With Panther Lake, Linux 7.1+ is best for optimal performance.

OSPRay Studio benchmark with settings of Camera: 1, Resolution: 1080p, Samples Per Pixel: 1, Renderer: Path Tracer, Acceleration: CPU. openSUSE Tumbleweed was the fastest.
OpenVKL benchmark with settings of Benchmark: vklBenchmarkCPU ISPC. openSUSE Tumbleweed was the fastest.
Embree benchmark with settings of Binary: Pathtracer ISPC, Model: Asian Dragon. CachyOS was the fastest.
Embree benchmark with settings of Binary: Pathtracer ISPC, Model: Asian Dragon Obj. CachyOS was the fastest.
Embree benchmark with settings of Binary: Pathtracer ISPC, Model: Crown. CachyOS was the fastest.

In other creator workloads, Ubuntu on Linux 7.0 remained behind the others while in some cases like the Embree ray-tracing kernels, Fedora Workstation 44 was the slowest outlier.
