D7VK as a Vulkan-based implementation of the Microsoft Direct3D 7 / 6 / 5 / 3 APIs for Linux/Wine (Steam Play) usage is out with version 2.3 and the developer now believing its marking the point that the project is rather mature.

D7VK has reached the point of maturity and with version 2.3 comes "one (perhaps final) performance optimization" around memory placement of shadow surfaces. With Imperial Age the performance went up from 80 to 137 FPS with this new D7VK release. That's also up from 62 FPS on D7VK 2.0.

D7VK 2.3 also re-bases against DXVK 3.1.1, improved Vulkan side checks, and a number of other fixes and code improvements.

With D7VK 2.3, D7VK is now entering maintenance mode now that the codebase is mature enough and that no major new features are expected.
