Marvel’s Wolverine… what a ride! Insomniac has successfully honoured the core of Wolverine and translated it into one of the best games of 2026. From the very first moments of the game, you are taken on a jaw-dropping and adrenaline-pumping adventure as you slice and dice your way through an army of enemies as you try to save the world from those seeking to control it. From its flawless gameplay to its realistic graphics, Marvel’s Wolverine undeniably boasts one of the best narratives of the year, which is enhanced by its stellar cast who successfully make you feel the emotions of these characters from Earth 1048. Brilliant and I can’t wait for the sequel!

In terms of gameplay, the combat is just as visceral and fun as we expected. Admittedly, other aspects of the experience didn't quite hit the mark—such as the chase sequences, the desire for a slightly more open design, and the choreographed nature of the quick-time events. After all, it is 2026, and some of these elements could benefit from a bit more depth or a greater element of surprise.

Marvel's Wolverine captures the vibe of the PS2 and PS3 era—the kind of game people often complain isn't made anymore—featuring solid combat and a good story. However, it holds the player's hand too much with guides and moments where failure is impossible, and it offers virtually no post-campaign content. Consequently, it is far better to wait for a sale than to pay full price for the game.

Marvel's Wolverine is a good game featuring the beloved mutant. The story is enjoyable and deviates somewhat from expectations. The gameplay offers combat without many surprises, with a cool fighting system (despite some issues) and is slightly deep thanks to the upgrades. The biggest problem is that the game doesn't offer much variety and has a short duration.

Marvel’s Wolverine combines a dark and dramatic narrative with bloody combat and outstanding visuals. Insomniac Games crafts a story centered on the past, rage, and personal conflicts of Marvel’s most solitary mutant, accompanied by familiar faces. However, its linear world and story structure, repetitive gameplay and simplistic mechanics leave the feeling that it could have offered much more. Although it stands out for its atmosphere, Marvel’s Wolverine never quite reaches its full potential as a natural evolution of the Spider-Man formula. It is a proposition that can win over Logan’s fans, although some of its narrative liberties may not appeal to more traditional comic book followers.

This is a turn-your-brain-off-and-go-for-a-ride spectacle that occasionally punches above its weight. That works to some extent, but Marvel's Wolverine doesn't live up to the creative standard Insomniac Games is known for, and Logan has never been known for playing it safe.

Marvel's Wolverine is a frustrating mess. The narrative is ruined by poor pacing and character writing, even with the brilliant voice-over for those characters. As for the gameplay, while it is one of the best parts of the overall experience, the lifeless combat and overt handholding made for a title that was more obnoxious than fun. This is an undeniable blemish on Insomniac's time with the Marvel license and one that I have no intention of replaying anytime soon.

This is a really entertaining,great and violently hack and slash-game for the mature public. The animations and graphics are good, this is the best Wolverine-(maybe even X-Men)game ever and fighting crowds of enemies with his adamantium-claws is so much fun and does not get old. I played trough it in 3 days bevause the gameplay was really addictive. I still put it in from time to time because it is still cool after you played trough. Simple, fast, good looking, brutal, awesome game! You can unlock more moves as you go trough the story, if you liked the movie you need to play this.

I generally liked this game. The combat is satisfying, the voice acting and animation is good. I was a fan of the Wolverine character as a teenager so nostalgia did help me get engaged. I do find it interesting that many reviews are complaining about the short runtime. To me Insomniac's last two games (this and Spiderman 2) felt bloated. The Miles Morales game is actually my favorite of the recent games.

Такой себе коридорный зрелищный экшончик. Графически не что-то выдающееся, но смотрится на пс5 про хорошо, особенно с улучшенной трассировкой + vrr. Сюжетно типичная современная сони-история с самокопанием, попытками осознать себя и т.п. Не очень интересно. Второстепенные персонажи также в основном невыразительные, даже антагонист, поначалу казавшийся интересным, под конец скатывается в клишированную историю про "я сделаю мир лучше", meh. А вот геймплей мне понравился: очень бодрый, кровавый, враги дают просераться, способностей много чтобы можно было по-разному месить врагов. В этом плане росомаха не уступает одноименной игре 2009 года. Кроме этого есть челленджи, связанные с воспоминаниями, но они крайне унылые и однообразные - 80% из них это просто забег с паркуром на время. Единственный классный это пережить 25 волн, остальное туфта. Короче, игра в целом норм, боевичок на несколько вечеров, небольшая продолжительность играет ему на руку.

I was hoping the combat would be similar to Spiderman PS5 and the Arkham series. It feels like you're constanly getting hitting by stuff you don't see or thought you dodged. The game has way too many cut-scenes. Also the amount of points where the computer is slowing you down for more exposition is insane. The traversal feels very clunky. Not a fan of this game

For a marvel game this is bad and after all the time they had to work on this game if feels to buggy and unfinished.
