Motivation
[edit]A recent discussion on de.wp resulted in the consensus that instance of (P31) shouldn’t be used to reflect the subtleties of statistical classification of human settlements, at least not in the case of Austria. Therefore, I would like to propose a property to include this valuable information to Wikidata without messing up modeling.
Note that all examples are from Austria since that is where the problem arose. Since other jurisdictions probably also encounter similar problems, it’s probably best to keep the geographic scope generic.
