Motivation
[edit]Mutual societies in the UK (such as co-operatives, community benefit societies, and building societies) are registered in the Financial Conduct Authority's Mutuals Public Register (and not in the main Companies House register). These are useful, stable identifiers which we don't currently have a property for.

Comment @Russss: Your formatter URL does not work - when I try 525R for example I get a list of many things, not including the one mentioned (at least not on the first result page). Surely there's a better formatter URL for this? ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:46, 30 May 2025 (UTC)
- Seems not, unfortunately! If you go to the page for 525R then you end up at https://mutuals.fca.org.uk/Search/Society/7240 - with presumably an internal ID in the URL. That internal ID isn't even available in the CSV, so I couldn't make a redirector for it... Russss (talk) 00:26, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
Support Shame about no working formatter URL, but technically not a necessity for an external identifier. The entire register can easily be downloaded in CSV form (no registration or etc required) which is incredibly useful. --Lewis Hulbert (talk) 05:55, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
