Motivation

[edit]

Theaterencyclopedie is a Dutch encyclopaedic website running on MediaWiki software, with a lot of information related to theatre. It contains information about plays, actors, directors, theatre buildings. Recently they've started to create stable identifiers (so called ppid's) for each entry. It's comparable to IBDb, although it's focus is on Dutch theatre. Mbch331 (talk) 18:43, 26 November 2025 (UTC)reply

Discussion

[edit]
Single-value constraint = yes is desirable but not in all cases applicable. There are some rare cases, specially with theatres. For exemple 01944072-d07f-72a6-b4b6-e5bd5ccd5c35 and 01944072-d080-719d-a732-c431df44fdaf both belong to Q19884255, Lucent Danstheater. And 01944072-d081-7031-aa01-709fc0dcf2b4 and 01944072-da27-7158-aa99-75d9b940f3db both belong to Q2200865, DeLaMar Therefore I propose not Q19474404, Single-value constraint but Q99566538 for this new property. Thanks, 8775 records on Wikidata now have property P14073, I hope this will increase in future.--Gewild (talk) 08:03, 13 January 2026 (UTC)reply
