Aston Martin

[edit]

Hello. Yes, but we have two items: one for whole F1 activities and the other item just for F1 team. Yes expression was kinda strong and probably shouldn't happen but you don't know how many times someone is messing F1 activity item with F1 team item etc. If we have ocassion, could you translate "Aston Martin in Formula One" and "Formula One activities of Aston Martin" to Korean? Eurohunter (talk) 18:59, 3 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I will. I can translate it to Korean, but there comes to my mind that in Korea, people who loves F1 often refer team names as having the same meaning as the constructor's term. Aston Martin for example, English and European world differentiates the term "Aston Martin in Formula One(AM as F1 constructor)" and "Formula One activities of Aston Martin(AM as F1 team)", but Koreans see the terms are having the same meaning. So there comes to the mind that I have to create the New label "Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team" to handle the information used in the context of Korean Motorsports. --YellowTurtle9 (talk) 19:12, 3 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot for tranlations. It's the same in European languqages. We also use names such as "Aston Martin" in context of team or constructor, just item "Aston Martin in Formula One" describes team, constructor, engines supplier, sponshorship and all the activity of Aston Martin brand in Formula 1 and it should be the same also in Korean. Eurohunter (talk) 19:30, 3 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Oh, what I tried to say is that Koreans are not familiar with the term "Aston Martin in Formula One(포뮬러 1에서의 애스턴 마틴)" for the article name. Typically, we uses the term "Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team", or "Aston Martin" to say the team, not using the term "Aston Martin in Formula One(포뮬러 1에서의 애스턴 마틴)" in every context. That's like "Lech Poznań in Polish Football League". --YellowTurtle9 (talk) 19:40, 3 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for editing the Wikidata Information. I'll fix the team information linked in Wikipedia and Wikidata like AM. --YellowTurtle9 (talk) 08:05, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
