Add topicIDs for editions
[edit]In this edit, you linked a specific scan to the general item for the George Eliot novel Romola. For published works, each edition has its own data item, and links to scans of those editions should be added to the data item specific to that edition, rather than to the general item. --EncycloPetey (talk) 00:55, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- thanks for your comment. it's not a scan. the image is the same image as that on the Wikidata item--in fact, that is where LUX's image comes from. YaleLuxBot (talk) 01:32, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
Duplicates
[edit]The bot recently added a duplicate identifier to an item. There are other examples of it doing that. Make sure that the bot is properly checking for duplicates. Susmuffin (talk) 18:05, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
Mistake report
[edit]Hi! In https://lux.collections.yale.edu/view/person/cf0980c4-58dd-411a-a13b-bfe0e8a2cff3 the name "Jules Ortegat" is wrong, the two works have been written by Paul Ortegat (Q134672463): Belgian Jesuit philosopher (1892-1971). Thanks! --Epìdosis 10:43, 5 August 2025 (UTC)
ID on wrong item Marco Brambilla (Q3290067)

Matthew Hall added to wrong item
[edit]Diff/2380002280 added Yale LUX ID (P13591)person/27f2e4ad-94ae-4324-b019-13464596f559 to Matthew Justin Hall (Q111188195), when it belongs on Matthew Hall (Q33675001). I have corrected the problem on Wikidata, but I am wondering what caused this mistake in the first place. How are these links determined? It appears that associated LCCN properties were correct on the items at the time this edit was made. Daask (talk) 00:58, 10 June 2026 (UTC)
Wrong ID/link on Q499134
[edit]In [1], the bot added a non-existing ID (the given Yale URL shows a 404 error).
Given that there have now been several error reports about this bot just on this talk page, apparently without reaction from the bot operator, it seems reasonable to ask if the bot approval should be rescinded.
Regards, HaeB (talk) 16:23, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
- feel free to revoke the approval for the bot. as mentioned on the user page, it is no longer active and has not been for over a year. please report any data errors to Yale. Kkdavis14 (talk) 16:39, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
