Bust vs Portrait

Hi GiovanniPen, you merged "Bust" bust (Q17489160) to "portrait at bust length" bust (Q241045) - oh, big mess, now the German word describes a three-dimensional object while the english term describes any portrait, even a painting! I dont know the other languages. What can we do now to keep the difference? Change the English description? -- Gerd Fahrenhorst (talk) 18:38, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

hi @Gerd Fahrenhorst. i dont think that "portrait at bust length" is relevant alone/in this way (in case as subcase or part of portrait): maybe was caused from Category:Portraits at bust length (Q60699593). in addiction in italian (like in other languages) the description was the same and there isn't (imho) any dualism. @Gerd Fahrenhorst: as the title of this discussion, it could be a bust (and i think we all intend a sculpture of the upper body) or it will be just a portrait (or eventually a more specific subcase, but not a sculpture). GiovanniPen (talk) 20:26, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Duomo di Messina + fercolo del Duomo

Ciao! Ho visto queste tue modifiche e non mi torna perché hai unito due elementi (diversi) rimuovendo solo la P31 del vecchio elemento ma non i vari alias. per quanto riguarda il tenerli separati non saprei… generalmente ti avrei detto di sì ma sta volta forse non è il caso: in primis perché l’elemento “non era niente di che” e praticamente privo di usi (interwiki e non solo); comunque forse direi meglio di no (quantomeno per ora) anche per evitare elementi “poco rilevanti” o non referenziati (e poi sostanzialmente l’unico nel suo genere)

Non escludo, eventualmente più avanti, di fare degli eventi anche a Messina così da riuscire ad avere una buona documentazione e magari in quell’occasione ricrearlo insieme a tante altre correzioni inerenti e correlate. GiovanniPen (talk) 10:10, 3 December 2024 (UTC)

Ho ripristinato l'elemento. Si tratta di un item di bene culturale specifico come altri, che è collegato a categoria di Commons. Non c'è alcun bisogno "funzionale" di unire e poi rifare. La logica di Wikidata non è questa, credo tu sia influenzato (forse) da Wikipedia in italiano che è una delle più rigide su questo approccio. Qui è tutto abbastanza strutturato e se si vuole fare ordine, è meglio fare per migliorare e ampliare, è oggettivamente molto più funzionale. Serve un approccio pratico per gestire milioni di item e non si deve disperdere troppo la risorsa umana. --Alexmar983 (talk) 11:37, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

Detto questo l'import di elementi da categorie commons era per me improprio e non lo avrei mai proposto perché questi elementi ovviamente richiedono verifica umana, ma la verifica umana che serve non è di questo tipo. Oramai ci sono, la via è migliorarli. Sistemata più come elemento di Madonna col Fercolo, da lavoro si fa al massimo questo. Comunque elemento da migliorare, non unire (anzi poi va specificato meglio il fercolo dalla statua dalla reliquia ma non lo si farà mai se prima non si lascia questo). Questo tipo di unioni ha un rapporto costi/benefici abbastanza basso perché poi la gente li ricrea, non li ritrova nella cronologia, si duplica il lavoro...--Alexmar983 (talk) 11:49, 4 December 2024 (UTC)

2: the itwiki discussion is not recent, but there Digressivo was hardly pro-adding the name (as he said again on wd); it's like he's almost in COI, like this is a personal battle for him. idk

3: not that I know of (bui I imagine here is bcs of the language, as he said, and it's obvious he's using it)

Redirecting Q23009675 to Q6206738

Hello, can you advise why this redirect was performed? Q23009675 was about transferring ownership/operation of property in general, whereas Q6206738 was about reassigning or transferring employees/assets in companies. They are not similar in nature. Ciao, per favore non unire aree protette che sono istanze di cose diverse, una riserva regionale è diversa da un'area natura 2000. Sono basate su normative diverse ed è corretto che rimangano item separati. Tra l'altro scopro ora negli archivi questa disc (in cui magari era carino pingare qualcuno degli organizzatori di WLE visto che lo sbatti di inserire e periodicamente aggiornare tutte le aree protette ce lo smazziamo noi, ma vabbè) e non mi pare proprio che ci sia consenso su queste unioni.
