Elvis: August Season in Vegas 1974 — FTD 3-CD | Three Complete Shows

Three Shows. Three Nights. Las Vegas, August 1974.

Part of FTD's acclaimed Live on Tour series, Elvis: August Season in Vegas 1974 brings together three electrifying performances from the Las Vegas Hilton across a single summer engagement. Released as a 3-CD digipak, this set captures Elvis across an evening show, a midnight show, and a dinner show — each a distinct snapshot of The King commanding the room at the height of his Vegas residency. Despite the inherent sonic limitations of the era, these soundboard recordings deliver very good sound quality throughout.

Why This Release?

August 1974 sits at a fascinating crossroads in Elvis's Vegas story — still electrifying on stage, but with a set list that had deepened and matured from the lean, high-energy shows of 1969–1972. You can hear the difference across these three nights: the extended I Got a Woman / Amen medleys, the spontaneous karate demonstrations, the late-show looseness of a midnight crowd. For FTD collectors, this is an essential window into the residency's later chapter — three full shows in one beautifully packaged release.
