The Vision fights to regain his humanity and memories.

Critics Consensus

Picking up where WandaVision left off, this series investigates the humanity beneath the robot, where the artificial becomes reality with heart, deliberate emotion, and a clear-eyed VisionQuest.

There’s a sense that the series doesn’t know how to chew its way out of its own franchise’s trap.

If that sounds complex, this game of cyber cat and mercenary mouse has only begun…in its earnestness, "VisionQuest" is charmingly enthralling with just enough interplay between light and darkness to make us feel it.

Vision may provide half the title, yet actual vision is the one thing this series sorely needs.

With actual humanity staring down its own AI crisis, the setup feels timely. Can artificial intelligence find intention, identity or something resembling humanity?

‘VisionQuest’ tries to close the story that started with ‘WandaVision’ but does so in poor style. Despite some great moments, it's still bogged down by too many forced callbacks and sluggish pacing.

Vision and his cohorts are far more important to the fabric of the MCU than most of us might have known, but cramming terabytes of pathos into an eight-hour TV extravaganza might be the worst way to honor them.

Almost great but takes the offramp to meh. Killing off an AI to save Vision is nonsense and copies the worst part of Agatha All Along. How did an AI with no connection to the outside world send an email? I hope the highs remain high but I fear this show is about to turn into a circus of nonsequitors.

Fantastic first two episodes. Great special effects, great writing. MCU needed this after WandaVision! So did Disney+!

A beautiful, emotional continuation. VisionQuest is exactly what I wanted. It does an incredible job of throwing you back into the headspace of Avengers and WandaVision while giving Vision the spotlight he deserves. Watching him navigate his own journey through identity and grief… much like Wanda did.. adds so much emotional weight to his character. The pacing is fantastic, and I am anxiously counting down the days for the next episodes!
