API access to the world's largest podcast database

Podchaser API FAQs

The Podchaser API gives you programmatic access to the world's largest podcast database. It includes detailed metadata for over 6 million podcasts and hundreds of millions of episodes, plus audience demographics, creator credits, contact information, transcripts, charts, and more. You can use it to build podcast apps, power search and discovery, run audience research, or integrate podcast data into your existing platform.

The API covers a wide range of podcast data, including: podcast and episode metadata (titles, descriptions, categories, publish dates), audience demographics (age, gender, income, interests), creator and guest credits, contact information, transcripts, Apple Podcasts and Spotify chart rankings, sponsor and advertiser data, brand safety ratings, network associations, social media links and follower counts, and Power Score and Reach metrics. Higher-tier plans unlock more data types.

Both. Our Starter and Professional plans use a REST API, which is the fastest way to get started. Enterprise customers also get access to our GraphQL API, which lets you request exactly the fields you need in a single query, ideal for complex integrations and reducing the number of API calls. Full documentation for both is available at api-docs.podchaser.com.

Podcast audience demographics describe who listens to a show, including age, gender, household income, education level, location, and interest affinities. Podchaser generates these insights using social graph data and predictive analytics across millions of podcasts. Demographics are available on Starter plans and above, and are commonly used by advertisers, media buyers, and content strategists to make data-driven decisions.

Absolutely. The Podchaser API is built for developers creating podcast platforms, directories, recommendation engines, analytics dashboards, and media planning tools. With access to millions of podcasts, episodes, and enriched metadata, you can power robust search and discovery experiences out of the box.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude connect directly to external data sources. Podchaser's MCP server is available now, so tools like Claude and Cursor can query podcast data in real-time for research, content analysis, and media planning, with no custom integration to build. It is read-only and works with the REST API rather than the Enterprise GraphQL API. See our MCP server setup guide to connect.

For enterprise plans with custom pricing, unlimited requests, GraphQL access, and dedicated support, reach out through the Contact Sales button on our pricing section. Our team will work with you to find the right solution for your data needs and scale.

Podchaser offers the most comprehensive podcast database available via API, with 6m+ podcasts and uniquely rich data including audience demographics, creator credits, contact information, brand safety ratings, and sponsor data, features not available from alternatives like Podcast Index or Listen Notes. Podchaser also supports both REST and GraphQL APIs, and provides enterprise-grade features like S3 data delivery and custom SLAs.
