Kicking off the tests were some GPU benchmarks of the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Max-Q workstation card. With the GravityMark Vulkan benchmarks there was quite close performance as one would expect. With Vulkan ray-tracing, Windows 11 Pro was having a small advantage of Ubuntu 26.04 LTS with its Wayland desktop.

3DMark Wild Life Extreme benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 2160. Windows 11 Pro was the fastest.

Interestingly for 3DMark Wild Life Extreme with its Linux-native build, it was noticeably slower than Windows 11 Pro.

Unigine Superposition benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 2160, Mode: Fullscreen, Quality: Low, Renderer: OpenGL. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
Unigine Superposition benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 2160, Mode: Fullscreen, Quality: High, Renderer: OpenGL. Windows 11 Pro was the fastest.
Unigine Superposition benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 2160, Mode: Fullscreen, Quality: Ultra, Renderer: OpenGL. Windows 11 Pro was the fastest.
Unigine Superposition benchmark with settings of Resolution: 3840 x 2160, Mode: Fullscreen, Quality: Medium, Renderer: OpenGL. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.

Meanwhile for OpenGL exposure was the Unigine Superposition tests where the performance was nearly identical under each operating system.

Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: NTLM. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: 7-Zip. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: SHA-256. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: SHA-512. Windows 11 Pro was the fastest.
Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: LastPass. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: WPA-PBKDF2-PMKID+EAPOL. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: TrueCrypt RIPEMD160 + XTS. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.
Hashcat benchmark with settings of Benchmark: Kerberos 5 + etype 23 + TGS-REP. Ubuntu 26.04 LTS was the fastest.

For some OpenCL exposure there was Hashcat and it was typically showing the leading performance on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.

FluidX3D benchmark with settings of Test: FP32-FP32. Windows 11 Pro was the fastest.

With the FluidX3D computational fluid dynamics software using OpenCL, the performance was nearly identical under each operating system.
