We are nearing the point of the Wine 12.0 stable release coming up in early 2027 while for now the Wine 11.xx bi-weekly development releases continue. Out today is Wine 11.19 with a few new features and plenty of fixes.

Wine 11.19 introduces support for vertical text within the GDIPlus code. Also on the character side is support for Unicode 18.0 characters.

This new development release also now supports caching of DNS queries and improves the VBScript parser.

One change not mentioned in the Wine 11.19 release highlights but worth calling out is the Wine Wayland driver now implementing the color management protocol for the Vulkan color space. This improves color accuracy for Windows games/apps running on Wayland. More details in this merge request.

On the fixes side, Wine 11.19 has 23 known bug fixes affecting various games and other apps. Downloads and the full list of Wine 11.19 changes over the past two weeks via WineHQ.org.
