Wayland/Weston 1.9 Now In Beta

With Wayland 1.9 in beta, the releases don't differ too much over last month's alpha release. With Wayland, the only change is dropping a earlier 1.9 requirement of having the WAYLAND_DISPLAY environment variable set. The Weston 1.9 beta meanwhile has bug-fixes for the in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) shell and more DRM compositor improvements.
As mentioned in the alpha article, Wayland 1.9 splits out libwayland-util into libwayland-util and libway-private libraries, with the later being strictly for Wayland itself and not the wayland-scanner utility. Weston 1.9 also has updated license text, there is the start on the Libweston work, input device hotplugging is in better shape, a rework to the unit/integration tests, the DRM compositor can now support triple-head graphics cards, IVI Shell has been improved, and there's the new DMA-BUF extension support.
Wayland/Weston 1.9 is expected for release later this month.
