WAYLAND
While it's coming a few days later than anticipated, Wayland 1.12 along with the adjoining Weston 1.12 compositor update is now officially available.

Bryce Harrington has announced Wayland 1.12 as the newest version of Wayland.

Wayland 1.12 has a few API additions, the server adds a new listener API for new clients, and various protocol tweaks and minor maintenance changes.

Weston 1.12 is a bit more exciting on the feature side. Weston 1.12 as the test compositor has the new Libweston-Desktop library, various compositor improvements, the headless compositor supports starting with zero outputs, various other libweston changes, desktop shell improvements, IVI shell improvements, and an assortment of other work. The main change is arguably the Libweston-Desktop addition.

The mailing list archives have yet to update for the official release announcement but you can grab Wayland/Weston 1.12.0 via the Git repositories.
