GIMP 2.7.4 Has UI Fixes, Readies For 2.8 Release

GIMP 2.7.4 was releases yesterday with "minor improvements and bug-fixes", with the GIMP.org page citing most improvements being related to the user-interface and usability of this open-source image editing application.
GIMP.org also states, "Depending on amount of bugs we get reports on this could be the last version before 2.8 release candidates and 2.8 itself."
GTK+ for Mac has also been improved so now GIMP is "finally going to be first class citizen on that platform." With GIMP 2.7.4 are also updates to the GEGL image library and babl. What's babl? "A dynamic, any to any, pixel format translation library."

GIMP 2.8 should finally be released in early 2012 after the development of this version was challenged by several significant setbacks.
