IAU Associates

IAU Associates are individuals who are not eligible for IAU Individual or Junior Membership, or who are awaiting the next annual application cycle, but are actively involved in the work of the IAU through the affiliation with an IAU Division, Commission or Working Group.

IAU Associate status is temporary and can be reconfirmed at the time of the ordinary General Assembly for the next triennium.

Associates are invited and appointed by the leadership of an IAU Working Group, Commission, or Division with which they are working, according to the IAU Working Rules.
