Yoga Slim 7 Ultra 14IPH11

I suggest to mention to upgrade to SHCN32WW with Windows / WIndows to Go (Rufus) before installing Arch (Linux), cause otherwhise the keyboard may not work even with the three mentioned kernel parameters. After the upgrade, "i8042.dumbkbd" was enough for me. There is also mentioned there is no camera. The camera works fine so far (no manual fixes from my side). i8042.dumbkbd indeed does the trick and makes the keyboard work, but boot logs will raise an error:
i8042: PNP: PS/2 appears to have AUX port disabled, if this is incorrect please boot with i8042.nopnp
so that parameter fix the AUX port error.
As for the camera, it still doesn't work at all for me. So nice it works for you.... It means there's a way to fix it... I just have to figure out how! Fernandocosta (talk) 21:02, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
BTW, is the audio working for you? Fernandocosta (talk) 21:03, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
No internal Audio so far, no matter what i tried, even when i copied all firmwares from the git repository. Dominikzogg (talk) 06:47, 25 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I am not sure if "i8042: PNP: PS/2 appears to have AUX port disabled, if this is incorrect please boot with i8042.nopnp" is an issue. Not skilled enought about this topic to judge. But i get it as well.
It strange that all three parameters have not fixed my keyboard issue before firmware upgrade, while it worked for you. Maybe not all of the same models have excactly the same hardware.
About the camera: I use gnome 50 and used a photo/camera app to test. Dominikzogg (talk) 06:50, 25 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
My camera is working now, maybe there was an update along the way since I started trying to fix it, then I didn't notice when it started working. Thanks for the heads up! I'll update the wiki.
As for the firmware update, maybe worth a note, but I don't recall having to update it... It feels odd to just throw a bunch of unreproducible tests... but as long as it's helpful, right? Fernandocosta (talk) 10:33, 25 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
