Welcome to scrol - your source of information from the 2001 Census.
This website has been created as part of an initiative to encourage the use of,
and widen access to, the results of the 2001 Census in Scotland.
SCROLGuide will help you get started and understand the full functionality of the
site, which has been designed to cater for a wide variety of existing and potential
users. Its browser and analyser functionality enable users to use, explore and
understand the full potential of Census output. Users who wish to use large volumes
of Census data locally should consider the warehouse feature for downloading bigger
datasets.
Please note that all of the results available here have been exposed to a number of
measures to safeguard confidentiality and protect against disclosure of personal
