Engage with your Community

Interacting with your Community helps you build a stronger connection with your audience. You can show appreciation for viewer posts, highlight important discussions, and respond to comments directly within your Community space.

Communities on YouTube

Reply to Community posts

Once a viewer has posted on your Community, you can leave them a reply.

1. In the YouTube app, go to your channel page.
2. Tap Visit Community.
3. Go to the post you want to reply to Tap Comments . You'll see the Post comments page.
4. Type your reply.
5. Tap Post.

On the YouTube Studio app:

1. Go to the Community tab.
2. Go to the post you want to reply to Tap Comments . You'll see the Post comments page.
3. Type your reply.
4. Tap Post .

Heart your favorite Community posts

You can use a creator heart to show appreciation for a viewer's post in your Community.

1. Sign in to the YouTube app.
2. On your channel page, tap Visit Community.
3. Go to a post you’d like to show appreciation for, tap .

The viewer who made the post will be notified. On the lower right of the post, viewers will see your profile picture with a next to it.

Pin a post to your Community

You can choose a post to stay at the top of the feed by pinning it. Pinning a post makes it more visible to your audience and notifies the viewer who posted it.

1. Sign in to the YouTube app.
2. On your channel page, tap Visit Community.
3. Go to a post you’d like to pin, tap More Pin post . If you already pinned a post, this will replace it.

On the YouTube Studio app:

1. Go to the Content tab.
2. Go to a post you’d like to pin, tap More Pin to your Community . Tap Pin to confirm. If you already pinned a post, this will replace it.
