The HomePod Mini is a smart speaker developed by Apple. Designed to work with the Apple Music service. It has been available to buy in stores and online since 2020. Alongside the HomePod, a larger and more expensive version introduced in 2018.

Operating System
changeThe HomePod Mini runs software, internally known as audioOS, a forked version of tvOS. Though it was initially a fork of iOS, since version 13.4 in 2020, it has been a fork of tvOS. Software updates are installed automatically over-the-air, but can also be installed manually through the Home app. audioOS's main user-facing features are AirPlay 2 and Siri.
