Android 17 is an operating system for mobile phones. The operating system is developed by the Open Handset Alliance, a group led by Google. The first public beta was released on February 13, 2026.[1] It was released for Google Pixel devices on June 16, 2026.[2]

Google changed how they show early versions of Android 17. Usually, Google shows early versions of operating systems only to developers. With Android 17, they released a beta version to the public.[source?]
