Kicking this back. The toast is obscured by the keyboard. Put it in front of the keyboard or suppress the keyboard in favor of the toast.

This can move forward but the punctuation in RTL is aligning on the wrong side if you carry over a query in a LTR language. @ABendall-WMF can you file a task for this.

Q: "It shows 3 seconds after bottom sheet appears. " Popping it in 3 seconds later will shift everything down and look bad. Can we show it immediately instead?

History should be articles visit, recent searches should be the query used. Yes it should remain after experiment and throughout the experiment even after hiding
