Shoib Jawaid
Group Chief Strategy Officer, Petromin
Shoaib Jawaid is a senior strategy executive with over 20+ years of cross-industry experience spanning automotive sales and aftersales, mobility solutions, electrification and e-mobility, oil and gas, retail, EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), and FMCG packaging and manufacturing. As Group Chief Strategy Officer at Petromin, he leads corporate strategy, business planning, partnerships, growth initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, financial feasibility studies, due diligence, business start-ups, post-M&A transformation and integration, and long-term growth planning for one of the fastest-growing mobility and energy organizations in the MENA region.
Since joining Petromin in 2013, Shoaib has led multiple strategic refresh cycles for 2020, 2025, and 2030 in collaboration with leading global consulting partners, and currently drives the implementation of Strategy Wave 2030. He has played a pivotal role in landmark acquisitions including Nissan, Stellantis portfolio, Volvo EVs, Foton, AC Delco, Pirelli, NAPA GCC, and BAIC, significantly expanding Petromin’s market presence.
He also leads enterprise-wide board councils on sustainability, innovation, omnipreneurship, customer data, call center and network planning. Under his leadership, Petromin achieved its highest ESG rating and published its first Sustainability Report in 2024. Petromin advanced digital customer engagement initiatives and delivered measurable CAPEX and OPEX efficiencies.
Shoaib holds an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and has completed executive programs at Wharton School, MIT, Harvard Business School, and UC Berkeley.
His leadership focuses on collaboration, strategic discipline, and empowering teams to drive sustainable, innovation-led growth aligned with Vision 2030.
