Reimagining Wikimedia Grants (2015)
The Wikimedia Foundation reviewed its funding programs in 2015 and proposed creating more structured funding programs addressing needs for microfunding, conferences, affiliate annual plans, and travel support. This resulted in the creation of Rapid Grants, Project Grants, Simple Annual Plan Grants, and Annual Plan Grant programs.
This project aims to answer the question “What is the impact of grants awarded by WMF?”, for grants awarded by WMF in fiscal years 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
