Description

Die Personifikation des Erdteils Amerika ist als Dame mit Federkopfschmuck und Federrock sowie bodenlanger Rückendraperie dargestellt. In der linken Hand hält sie einen Bogen. Die rechte Hand ist erhoben. Der Pfeil, welchen die Personifikation ursprünglich in dieser Hand hielt, ist verloren. Auf dem Rücken trägt sie einen Köcher aus Korbgeflecht. Auf dem Rocaillesockel, zu Füßen der Figur liegt zudem ein Krokodil.
Der Figur ist Teil einer Folge von Allegorien der vier Erdteile, die Johann Wilhelm Lanz noch in Straßburg entwarf.
