  • Released the new SQL formatter as generally available (GA), giving users more formatting options and greater control over T-SQL style and layout

  • Fixed an issue in the Edit Table Data dialog where changes might appear as unsaved after data was restored to its original values
  • Added the "Copy as" submenu to SQL Notebook result grids for copying selections as CSV, JSON, INSERT INTO, or IN clause values

  • Restored the "Executing query" timer in the status bar while queries run, with a new mssql.statusBar.showQueryExecutionStatus setting to hide it if you prefer
  • Added an option to always freeze the first column of query results, so key values stay visible while scrolling wide result sets. Enable with mssql.resultsGrid.freezeFirstColumnByDefault in settings
  • Added Ctrl+Insert as an alternative shortcut for copying selected results
  • Added a Preview Grid toggle to the Query Results toolbar so you can switch between the new and classic results grids without editing settings

  • Added a Restore Packages command to the SQL project context menu for restoring the project's NuGet packages.
  • Added support for Move to Schema now automatically moves the .sql file to the target schema folder.
  • Added support for creating SQL objects with the schema corresponding to the selected folder instead of defaulting to dbo.
  • Added support for custom code analysis rules. Rules contributed by referenced NuGet analyzer packages now appear in the Code Analysis Settings dialog alongside the built-in rules.
  • Fixed an issue where the Rename Symbol feature was incorrectly enabled on SQL alias identifiers (column aliases, table aliases, subquery aliases, and CTE names), which could generate an invalid .refactorlog entry.
