Go backend engineer · AI developer tools

I build backend services and developer tools in Go. My current focus is coding-agent runtimes: tool execution, persistent sessions, and protocol compatibility. I also work with Python and am learning about model serving and inference performance.

Building: pi-go

A Go port of pi, a terminal coding-agent harness. The goal is to preserve upstream behavior while providing Go interfaces for agent workflows and sessions.

  • Agent runtime: CLI entry points and an agent/tool loop for coding workflows.
  • Session lifecycle: persistent session trees, continuation, and HTML export.
  • Protocol interfaces: Go clients for JSONL RPC and the CBOR session protocol.
  • Compatibility work: offline regression fixtures and a ledger of supported behavior and known differences.

In development · private source repository. Extensions, package management, parts of the terminal UI, and cloud authentication remain incomplete. Offline tests do not establish live-provider reliability.

Selected open-source contributions

Three merged contributions to the Gin ecosystem:

Engineering focus

Go backends: API design, concurrency, cancellation, and testable service boundaries.
AI developer tools: tool execution, session management, and failure handling.
Currently learning: model serving, latency/throughput measurement, and memory tradeoffs.

I value explicit design tradeoffs, reproducible tests, and documentation that makes a project easier to understand and run.
