Build a Java microservice with Neo4j AuraDB free

This repository contains the following elements:

• data-neo4j folder: Steps, file, and Cypher statements to load Goodreads data to Neo4j AuraDB free tier instance

• service4: Java microservice that connects to Neo4j AuraDB free instance and retrieves book review data.

• Sign up to create a free Neo4j AuraDB instance

• Follow the steps outlined in the data-neo4j folder’s README to load the data into Neo4j

• Clone this repository

• Open the neo4j-java-microservice application in an IDE or editor

• Modify the application.properties file in service4/src/main/resources folder

• Run the application (via the IDE or command line)

• Open a browser or a command line window to test the REST endpoints:

  • Browser: localhost:8080/neo, localhost:8080/neo/reviews, localhost:8080/neo/reviews/178186

  • Command line: curl localhost:8080/neo, curl localhost:8080/neo/reviews, curl localhost:8080/neo/reviews/178186
