The Pictorial Flora; or British Botany Delineated/Preface/001-132
editAlso, I have tagged this page for speedy delete as it seems to duplicate The Pictorial Flora; or British Botany Delineated/001-132 with an incorrect page name. -- Beardo (talk) 13:01, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Good call; thank you. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:34, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
Page:A Selection of Original Songs, Scraps, Etc., by Ned Farmer (3rd ed.).djvu/119
editI erred in validating PG 99 - The King of Terrors. It was missing "The King of Terrors.", which I added. However, I overlooked that is is also missing the page number, and the heading "New Farmer's Scrap Book". Please add it and let me know if I need to re-validate the page. Thanks. Maile66 (talk) 00:04, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
@Maile66: Done, and thank you for validating. All seems to be good, now. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:18, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide
editThis page has no license tag, what is the meaning of your reversion? —Beleg Tâl (talk) 13:47, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Exactly as I stated in my edit summary - the page has "no licensable content".
- At the foot of the page is a statement, "Text is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License..." What other licence could possibly apply?
- Why have you - for the third time - restored the tag? Feel free to nominate the page for deletion as unlicensed, and see how that succeeds. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:56, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Oh, I think I see where you're coming from. The page needs a license tag to identify the license for the work Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide, not for the specific list of links on that single top-level wikisource page. If all issues of Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide were published before 1931, we can put {{PD-US}}; if not, we can put {{PD-US-periodical}}; but we cannot have works with no license tag (and it will always be caught by my periodic sweep for untagged material). —Beleg Tâl (talk) 14:03, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- The page does not contain any content from "the work Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide". The page(s) on which content from "the work Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide" is transcluded has or have a licence tag.
- There are no "works with no license tag" in this case.
- The page at Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide is not "the work Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide", and already has a correct and adequate license statement.
- Fix your periodic sweep. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:07, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- If the page Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide is not the periodical work that is titled, Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide, then it does not belong in mainspace, and I will move it to Portal space. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 14:12, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Where did I say that? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:15, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- you literally just said, 'The page at Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide is not "the work Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide"' —Beleg Tâl (talk) 14:16, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Yes. Which is not what you said.
- There is a difference between a page being about a work and a page being that work. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:18, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Yes absulutely, I agree, there is a big difference. Hence, if the page is about a work, it goes in Portal space; if it is the work, it goes in Mainspace and needs a license tag. So, please let me know if this page is about Bradshaw's guide (in which case I will move it to Portal space), or if it is Bradshaw's guide (in which case I will tag it as {{PD-US-periodical}}). —Beleg Tâl (talk) 14:20, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- I do not agree with your premise. Citation, please. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:42, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- This is literally fundamental concepts here. See Help:Namespaces, Help:Copyright tags, etc. You don't have to agree with it, but this is how it works. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 14:48, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- It is not "literally fundamental concepts here"; there are many, many pages, in Mainspace, like the one in question, which are about a work or works, but which do not transclude, and are not, those works.
- I'm not asking a for a link, I'm asking for a citation to support your claim that "if the page is about a work, it goes in Portal space" Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:57, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- No, there are not "many many" pages in mainspace which are about a work rather than being a work. It is clear that we are at an impasse. I am going to take this discussion to the Scriptorium and let the community at large decide the appropriate action for Bradshaw's Monthly Railway and Steam Navigation Guide —Beleg Tâl (talk) 15:02, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Here are just three of the many, many pages, in Mainspace, like the one in question, which are about a work or works, but which do not transclude, and are not, those works.
- Again, I invite you to nominate them (and the page discussed here) for deletion, or to move these three, and see how that succeeds.

- ... those are Versions pages and Disambiguation pages; the page in question is neither of those. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 15:25, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Those are "pages, in Mainspace ... which are about a work or works, but which do not transclude, and are not, those works."
- As you have now stared a second discussion on this topic, please choose one and stick to it. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:28, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
