Redirection from Luisa Mayol to María Luisa Mayol
[edit]Hello Nick Number, I hope you are very well. I am posting this to you since you created the redirection from Luisa Mayol to María Luisa Mayol on 4 ago 2023. I have been asked by the actrees Luisa Mayol to help her to get the redirection reversed. María Luisa Mayol Labbé is her legal name but her correct professional and artistic name is just Luisa Mayol. She is triying to get IMDB and other databases corrected as well. Can you please help us/her?. Thanks! Fernando (Do you want to answer me?) 22:20 - 05 Oct 2026 (UTC)
- @Friera: Ok, I've moved the article over the top of the redirect. I removed "artiscally known as Luisa Mayol" from the lead, as it's now the article title and is listed in the infobox. Her full name should remain in the lead per MOS:FULLNAME, unless there's a good reason to omit it. Nick Number (talk) 16:48, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your help Friera (talk) 15:26, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

| Woke up this morning and found out that two of Women in Red's important additions had magically gained images. Lucy Hunter Blackburn and Huda Ammori are two articles that I consider important and each of them are substantially improved by your contribution... and you taught me to look harder. Well done for this and your substantial contributions to Women in Red over many years. Thank you. Victuallers (talk) 08:19, 30 September 2025 (UTC) |

Images for Famous Figures
[edit]Would you happen to have any free high-quality images for the following figures? (i.e.Ferry Porsche, Ogden Phipps, William Randolph Hearst III, Abram Nicholas Pritzker, Herbert Quandt, Ogden Mills Phipps, Friedrich Karl Flick and Friedrich Christian Flick). Thank you for your consideration. Emiya1980 (talk) 02:57, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Emiya1980: I checked my usual sources but didn't find anything. Nick Number (talk) 04:11, 30 April 2026 (UTC)
- In that case, do you happen to have any high-quality images of James Warburg (preferably ones shot from a frontal angle)?Emiya1980 (talk) 07:18, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- No, I haven't found anything good in pre-1931 books. Some good photos will probably become available in the next few years as the public domain threshold advances. Nick Number (talk) 16:54, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

@Nick Number When you have a chance, could you post links to the images of William Payne Whitney that you mentioned on said figure's talk page? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!Emiya1980 (talk) 18:31, 20 May 2026 (UTC)

Thank you, for Eleanora Robbins
[edit]Conflict of interest declared: she is my mother.
Nick Number — you gave my mother her face.
I took that photograph of her in 2023. Until today it sat where nobody would ever look for it. You lifted it out and set it at the head of Draft:Eleanora Robbins, and now anyone who comes to read about her life will meet her first.
You gave her more than that. Her year of birth. Her shelf in the Library of Congress. Her story told in Spanish as well as English. And the name she was born with, Iberall, the name on the first science she ever published.
I never asked you for any of it. You saw what was missing and you put it there.
I told my mother. She is profoundly grateful, and I am more grateful than I know how to write. Ngalubutui (talk) 19:09, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
- Glad to have helped a small amount. Nick Number (talk) 19:24, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
- Nick Number — it was not a small amount to us. Since you wrote that, you have gone back in and saved copies of her sources, so that the record of her work will still stand on the day a website closes. I am a happy man today, and a thankful one, and I want you to know that it is your doing. Thank you, truly, for all of it. Ngalubutui (talk) 19:29, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
A request, for Eleanora Robbins
[edit]Nick Number, I am writing to you again because of all you have done for my mother, Dr. Eleanora "Norrie" Robbins. (I declare again that she is my mother.)
You put the photograph I took of her at the head of her draft, so the first thing anyone sees is her face. You gave the draft American dates, archived its web sources so none of them can be lost, and repaired its links. On Wikidata you added her birth year, her Library of Congress record, her description in English and Spanish, and her maiden name, Eleanora Iberall, the name her earliest science was published under. Four edits to the draft, and every one made it stronger. When I told my mother what you and the others have done, she was profoundly grateful. So am I.
The draft now stands on nine independent sources, from 1972 to 2024, in two countries. Among them is the 1995 Ohio Journal of Science report on the SS Central America, which credits her experiment showing that bacteria build the wreck's rusticles.
Please move Draft:Eleanora Robbins into article space. I will not move it myself, as I have said on the record.
With deep and lasting thanks, from her son. Ngalubutui (talk) 09:06, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
- Nick Number, my request is answered. Jishara accepted the article today, and Eleanora Robbins is now live, with her photograph at the top where you placed it. Your four edits are part of every word of it. Thank you again, with all my heart. Ngalubutui (talk) 18:41, 2 October 2026 (UTC)
