[edit]" Hello, I'm Belbury. I noticed that you recently removed content from Chicken sandwich without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The WP:LEAD section of an article should summarise the main body content. Removing the mention of chicken burgers from the lead does not add any "clarity". Belbury (talk) 08:15, 17 August 2026 (UTC)"
The article isn't about chicken burgers. The wikipedia tool that suggests edits suggested to take edit it for clarity. ImagineWhatToucanDo (talk) 20:33, 17 August 2026 (UTC)
- @ImagineWhatToucanDo: The article is about all forms of chicken sandwich, including chicken burgers; chicken burger was merged there last year. Several countries outside the US use this term for fried chicken in a bun. Belbury (talk) 08:16, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- the article has a regional varieties section that should be in there and not in the main part thats what the ai said. also it doesnt make sense to say thats what people call it when its just some people.
What are reliable sources?
[edit]I'm kinda new to Wikipedia Since I joined last month and still don't know what reliable sources are because of the undid edit on TNT (American TV channel) so can you tell me what they are. Thegoat721 (talk) 13:10, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Thegoat721: See Wikipedia:Reliable sources for more information. Wikipedia can maybe write about a television station having picture quality issues for an hour if there was major newspaper coverage of this. We can't if it's just something you observed personally while watching TV that day. Belbury (talk) 13:17, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
Doubt
[edit]Can I recreate the article wee hours in my own words? I think it's important to add this word as a time of day. ~2026-46281-46 (talk) 15:51, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
- See WP:FIRSTARTICLE for guidance. Belbury (talk) 15:53, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
Russel Erwood
[edit]Hi Belbury, you may (or may not) be interested to know that when I came across the unusual editing activity on Russel Erwood I raised a sockpuppet investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rustymagic. Mind you, the editing has been over a long period, I'm beginning to doubt whether anything will be proven. Sionk (talk) 16:59, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- @Sionk: Thanks, I hadn't seen that, but was wondering the same things and waiting to see what response the COI question would get before going any further. Looks like you've covered everything that had also struck me about these editors. Belbury (talk) 17:09, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: User:Yoko A. Ono/The Ponzi's
[edit]Hello Belbury, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Yoko A. Ono/The Ponzi's, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The user has edits outwith userspace. MfD is the correct location to request deletion. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. CoconutOctopus talk 18:27, 4 September 2026 (UTC)
baynton article
[edit]hi. can you explain exactly what was wrong with the citation I used? ~2026-49712-33 (talk) 22:20, 17 September 2026 (UTC)
- @~2026-49712-33:: as a database of light biographical details, comedy.co.uk doesn't seem that reliable as a source. The presence of a "correct/update this page" button suggests it may be partly WP:USERGENERATED, and the site fails the Mark Williams test (the case of a person who appears to be very secretive about his date of birth and even his age, to the degree where Wikipedia is unable to establish a reliably sourced date of birth - despite this https://www.comedy.co.uk/people/mark_williams/ is somehow able to give a precise birth date). --Belbury (talk) 09:39, 18 September 2026 (UTC)
Hiya Belbury, you've helped me with formatting before, can you advise how I've gotten the TA formatting incorrect in my request please? Halbared (talk) 15:15, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
Rivoli Ballroom
[edit]Hello. I'm messaging you with this because you edited Rivoli Ballroom recently, and I'm on a different problem in that article and not sure how to proceed. The article's "Style" section has some tags "Citation needed", but in fact the vast majority of the entire section (both subsections) is a paraphrase of the entry on Historic England.
Is this paraphrase too close? (It isn't mine, I just saw that that's what it is.) TooManyFingers (he/him · talk) 15:09, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
- @TooManyFingers: Yes, much too close! Comparing it against the source there are very long stretches of unedited text. Belbury (talk) 15:16, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
- The person who added it in 2012, User:A1d391kIw6E8Cu8T3G, shows having last edited seven years ago. I'll try to improve the paraphrasing today or tomorrow, unless someone else beats me to it. TooManyFingers (he/him · talk) 15:25, 4 October 2026 (UTC)
