Origin of Premier Protein brand

[edit]

Hi, this is my first time editing Wikipedia and I want to be transparent that I have a conflict of interest.

I am a former founder and executive of Premier Nutrition, Inc., which originally developed the Premier Protein Shake. I no longer have any affiliation with the company or the brand (I sold my interest in 2011), so I am not editing the article directly and am instead making a request for independent editors to review.

Requested addition to History section

[edit]

I would like to request that the History section include neutral, sourced information about the origin of the Premier Protein brand. Suggested text:

> Premier Protein is a brand of ready-to-drink protein shakes that was originally developed and launched by Premier Nutrition, Inc., an independent nutrition company founded in 1997 in Carlsbad, California by Chris Geist, Lance Rankin and Kerry Law.[1][2] Archived versions of Premier Nutrition’s website show the Premier Protein Shake being marketed and sold by Premier Nutrition as early as 2007, prior to its later acquisition.[3] A 2010 USPTO filing for the PREMIER PROTEIN trademark lists Chris Geist as Chief Operating Officer of Premier Nutrition, Inc.[4]

I am happy for editors to adjust wording or placement to fit the style of the article. My only goal is to ensure the history accurately reflects that Premier Protein was created by Premier Nutrition, Inc. before the brand later became associated with Post Holdings.

Thank you for considering this request. NutraFactsResearch (talk) 23:37, 18 November 2025 (UTC) NutraFactsResearch (talk) 23:37, 18 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
