This is a simplified edition of the two volumes  of Suetonius Lives of the Caesars, Vitae Caesarum, with an English translation by Rolfe, for the  Loeb classical library. The two small volumes together  make  a total of 1004 pages.  Every work published by the Loeb classical library comes with presentations,  introductions, indices of names,  bibliographies, and  notes by the editors. All this has been  suppressed in this edition. Students of modern Latin just need  access to  original Latin texts with translations into vernaculars  and a simple  grammar of the Latin language. Therefore,  there is no need of toiling on  Roman history or on the complexities involved  in understanding and editing old texts.
