The Power Macintosh 5400 series was a range of low to mid-range personal computers that were a part of Apple Computer's Power Macintosh families of Macintosh Computers. Consumer configurations were also released as the Performa 5400CD to 5440CD.
Features[]
The Power Macintosh 5400 is an all-in-one computer with an integrated monitor, and replaced the Power Macintosh 5200 / 5300 LC line in that role. The logic board of the 5400 is largely identical to the Power Macintosh 6400 tower, which are both based on the PCI-based "Alchemy" architecture. It features an L2 cache slot that can be used as a processor direct slot to upgrade it to a PowerPC G3 processor. The speakers utilize SRS stereo technology. The 5400 was succeeded by the Power Macintosh 5500.
