NAMD benchmark with settings of Input: STMV with 1,066,628 Atoms. Linux 6.6 LTS was the fastest.
QMCPACK benchmark with settings of Input: H4_ae. Linux 6.12 LTS was the fastest.

When it came to HPC workloads, this AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9980X workstation didn't see too much change at large for these compute intensive applications.

OpenRadioss benchmark with settings of Model: Bumper Beam. Linux 7.1 05-14 was the fastest.
OCUDU benchmark with settings of Test: PUSCH Processor Benchmark, Throughput Total. Linux 7.1 05-14 was the fastest.

But for some applications like Altair's OpenRadioss and OCUDU for software defined radio, Linux 7.1 was showing some modest performance improvements over the older LTS kernels.

SVT-JPEG-XS benchmark with settings of Input: Bosphorus 4K. Linux 7.1 05-14 was the fastest.
7-Zip Compression benchmark with settings of Test: Decompression Rating. Linux 7.1 05-14 was the fastest.

In some similar applications like 7-Zip and SVT-JPEG-XS there was also better performance on this Zen 5 desktop out of the newer kernels.
