Remembered items in Find Hub

You can keep track of items around your home and office in Find Hub using Gemini. For example, you can ask Gemini to remember where you placed an important document. Later, you can either ask Gemini to recall where the document is, or you can check the Find Hub app to see all of your remembered items.

You can use Find Hub to remember physical items you want to track later, such as:

  • Important documents: Passports, birth certificates, car titles, tax returns.
  • Everyday items: Glasses, spare house keys, car keys, TV remote, wallet.
  • Supplies and tools: Batteries, medical supplies, screwdrivers, paint cans, gardening tools.
  • Specific locations: Where you parked your car, the exact spot you left a picnic blanket at the park.
  • Lent items: Books or tools borrowed by a friend, a charger lent to a colleague.

Important:

  • You won’t be able to use Find Hub to track digital files, abstract ideas, or events.
  • To use Find Hub to remember items, you’ll need to:
    • Use an Android device running Android 16 or later.

      • You can enter in a name and an address for the location you want to remember.
      • If you grant Find Hub Location permission, Find Hub can automatically detect and save your current address as the item's location when you add or update it. To let Find Hub save locations even when it’s closed, set location permission to "Allow all the time.""
  5. Tap Save.

Troubleshoot issues with remembered items

I can’t get Gemini to save items to Find Hub

If Gemini isn't saving your items as expected, try the following:

  • Make sure Gemini is your default assistant:
    1. Open your Settings app.
    2. Tap Apps and then Default Apps and then Digital Assistant App.
    3. Confirm Gemini is selected.
  • Be explicit in your commands: When speaking to Gemini, explicitly mention "Find Hub" or a clear storage spot.
    1. For example, say: "Hey Google, remember in Find Hub my wallet is on the kitchen counter" or “In Find Hub, where did I say I placed my umbrella?”
  • Make sure Find Hub is turned on in your Gemini Settings:
    1. Open the Gemini app .
    2. At the left, tap Menu Menu and then your Profile picture and then Connected Apps
      • If you don’t find “Connected Apps,” first tap Personal Intelligence and then Connected Apps.
    3. Turn on Find Hub.
I can’t share remembered items with family members
Currently, remembered items are stored privately in your individual Google Account, and only you can access or edit them.
I lost internet connection while storing or finding remembered items
Gemini requires an active internet connection to respond to your voice commands and save new items to Find Hub. If you're offline, Gemini may not be able to process new requests.

However, once items are saved, you can usually find them within the Find Hub app even if you temporarily lose your internet connection.
