How Ask Advisor works
Ask Advisor is optimized for providing Analytics-related knowledge and support. It’s accessible anywhere across Google Analytics, and can provide real-time insights on your property. Follow the steps below to access Ask Advisor:
Open Ask Advisor in Google Analytics
- In your Google Analytics property, if your account is eligible, you can click the Ask Advisor
icon in the top-right corner of your property. You can also click the Google Analytics Search box and select Ask Advisor.
- This opens the Ask Advisor window on the right panel.
- Enter your question in Ask Advisor.
Use Ask Advisor from visualization cards
You can also use Ask Advisor from supported visualization cards in Google Analytics. Follow these steps to use Ask Advisor from a visualization card:
- In your Google Analytics property, navigate to a chart visualization card in the Home page, an overview report, or a detail report.
- Hover over a chart visualization card, then click the Ask Advisor
- A dropdown appears with suggested questions based on the selected visualization card.
- Select a question to open Ask Advisor in a right-side panel.
- Review the response or enter a follow-up question.
- For some questions, Ask Advisor may take a moment to think, plan, and prepare a response.
- Generated responses related to Google Analytics data rely only on information from within that specific Google Analytics property.
- Ask Advisor is currently available in properties with English as the selected language, with plans to expand support to other languages.
- Use the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to provide the product team with feedback on each response.
- Ask Advisor reflects information that is available in Google Analytics. Learn more about How Ask Advisor in Google Analytics uses data.
- The Ask Advisor icon is available only when you're viewing a report. The icon isn't available while you're customizing a report.
