The weird thing is it was working on my machine without being an executable, I tested if ungoogled-chromium was using libwidevinecdm.so and it was actually using it, without it, DRM protected content wasn't playing. That's why there wasn't a fix until now :D Thanks for the heads up

I just updated to the same version with pkgrel=2, it should be an executable now

I think this need a small fix. The package copies libwidevinecdm.so as mode 644. Ungoogled Chromium’s own FAQ says it must be executable. I needed to use this to make actually usable: sudo chmod 755 /usr/lib/chromium/WidevineCdm/_platform_specific/linux_x64/libwidevinecdm.so

So I think we should add this line at the end of package() in the PKGBUILD:

chmod 755 "$pkgdir/usr/lib/chromium/WidevineCdm/_platform_specific/linux_x64/libwidevinecdm.so"
