depends needs to be changed (libjpeg):

Can you please change

  • dependendy libjpeg to libjpeg-turbo (any maybe existing make dependency libjpeg needs also to be changed to libjpeg-turbo),
    or maybe more elaboreate,
  • dependencies libjpeg to libjpeg.so AND add make dependency libjpeg-turbo?

Reason: Arch Linux does not have libjpeg anymore, and libjpeg-turbo stopped to declare libjpeg in it's provides array.

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing libjpeg-turbo (3.2.0-2) breaks dependency 'libjpeg' required by steghide

Broke because of this (also see comments there): https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/libjpeg-turbo/-/commit/a0e534d2803d7561c791ab5cd7f1a6f496d0cfaa

Which was a result of this ArchLinux change: https://archlinux.org/todo/stop-relying-on-virtual-libjpeg-lib32-libjpeg-package/

doesn't build with clang

workaround (worked for me): CC=gcc CXX=g++ paru -S steghide

license should be GPL-2.0-or-later for SPDX license

glibc should be added to depends

The checksum of additional patches should not be SKIPped.

Man files are in wrong dir: /usr/man/.

To build for arm archlinux, you need to add below flag to configure:

--build=aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu
