Hi KERVEL FAMILY,

gpedit.msc is only available in the Pro and Enterprise Editions of Windows 10

if you are running Windows 10 Home, you will not have access to gpedit.msc and it cannot be installed into Windows 10 Home

Anything you need to do with gpedit.msc can normally also be achieved with an edit to your registry

    Hey Kervel Family,

    Have you tried this solution?

Get GPEDIT here for windows 10 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/detail...

    Once downloaded Install as admin

    Go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64

    copy the following:

      Folders: GroupPolicy

                    GroupPolicyUsers

                          and

                     gpedit.msc

Paste them in the following locations:

    C:\Windows\System

    C:\Windows\System32

    Now hit WINDOWKEY + R

    Type: gpedit.msc

They **** patched it. Windows now prevents you from installing gpedit. Yeah, they still have the link there for you to download KNOWING that you can't install it. I imagine a MS developer gets a notification everytime some one downloads gpedit and just laugh at the feeble attempts of a mere plebeian who wanted to make Windows more usable.

Or I could just buy windows pro I guess.

Here is some additional information if the previous response didn’t help

Try the following steps and check if it helps:
    Step 1:
I suggest you to follow the below steps to enable Local Group Policy Editor.
Type group policy in search bar from the Desktop.
    Click on Edit Group Policy.
If the issue persists then follow the below step.
    Step 2:
Try to run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption. SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.
    Follow the below steps:
Press Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
    sfc /scannow
Reference: Refer to the following Microsoft article on Windows 10 help & how-to.
